for Nerina to truly be in with the '09 indielectro scene she will have to change her name to

Nerina// Pallot_

:kink:

Funnily enough she is now joking about calling her third album NP3.

Anyway here is the finished version of the video I've done:

NP3! I love it!

nice video, although Herzebania put a ton of effort into their video last month and came last in the semi, I don't think a lot of people even watch them

Nerina Pallot will be going on a quick spam tour of Buzzjack nations to promote her future "likely" lead single from her forthcoming third album due for release in 2009.

PS. I have 9 invites to sign up to Spotify (this new celestrial jukebox thingy (think iTunes meets Last.fm) provided you live in either the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Norway and Sweden).

If you want one then please send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send an invite through.

When Did I Become Such A Bitch? could be the one to watch. I can see it going down well with the typical mellow pop/singer songwriter fans whilst the quirkiness will be an advantage plus people will remember her from the 'Fires' period. I can definitely see this finishing in the top 10. And yeah, I really like it. :P

I agree.

The people of Scherzland are digging this song!

It's never off national radio and they went wild when Nerina stopped off in the capital to promote!!

Nerina's brief stop was well appreciated the Ashtonise public have gone Nerina mad, Fires has re-entered the album chart at #6 this week adding to it's impressive 24million sales.

Fires peaked a #1 in Ashton and her third album is eagerly anticipated.

Would it be ok for me to PM you my email address for Spotify?

After BJSC XIII average 7th placed finish with Nerina Pallot's forthcoming release the Nonsuch selection jury was split between whether to enter a similar obscurer future release by a relatively unknown Buzzjack unfriendly artist or whether to enter a rather good forthcoming album track release by a major very friendly Buzzjack artist.... Although a late comeback single by the greatest Welsh rap 8 piece from Newport was a maverick third option.

In the end Nonsuch have decided to uphold their reputation  by entering this Welsh/Greek singer with a very strong eye for fashion and designing; with her UK blend of electronica.

New British female pop singers plan to take over the world in 2009 - there's so many of them it's getting a little scary. Marina & The Diamonds is one of Nonsuch favourites and we think she's going to crap all over Florence & The Machine's expected party (Controversial I know). Recently signed to 679 Records (home of the equally great Little Boots) and citing Vivienne Westwood as one of her biggest influences, her wobbling and creepy vocal makes you sit up and notice and conjures up ideas in our head of Regina Spektor doing a dance of the seven veils with Kate Bush......

7th place out of 40 odd countries isn't average at all, I'm sure loads of countries would love that amount of attention :P

anyway...good choice, I'm glad you didn't go with Kelly Clarkson, as much as I love her :D

In the end a very respectable 13th position in the Final; especially as the majority of national bookies were predicting a Bottom 6 finish in the Final.

For the first time Nonsuch has gone for an unknown in the UK singer/songwriter with song that was a huge hit (6 weeks at #1 in her native Australia), that does not sound like 1980s electro pop remixed for the 21st Century.

Instead it is more of an old school "catchy tune, melody & lyrics" that will hopefully catch the attention of other BJSC nations.

Merril Bainbridge - Mouth

(Music & Lyrics: Merril Bainbridge)

I feel like I've been blown apart

There are pieces here

I don't know where they go

I don't know where they go

Kiss me on my salty lips

I bet you feel little crazy but for me

We'll be famous on T.V.

Would it be my fault if I could turn you on?

Would I be so bad if I could turn you on?

When I kiss your mouth I want to taste it

Turn you upside down,

Don't want to waste it

I jump on you,

You jump on me

You push me out and even though you know

I love you I'd be inclined to slap you in the mouth

When I kiss your salty lips

You will feel a little crazy,

But for me I'll be famous on T.V.

Would it be my fault if I could turn you on?

Would I be so bad if I could turn you on?

When I kiss your mouth I want to taste it

Turn you upside down,

Don't want to waste it

I take your love and throw it wide?

You might restrain me, but could you really blame me?

And you will feel you're blown apart

All the pieces there will fit to make you whole

And I know where they go

Would it be my fault if I could turn you on?

Would I be so bad if I could turn you on?

When I kiss your mouth I want to taste it

Turn you upside down,

Don't want to waste it

Due to the change in the rules not long before BJSC XV takes place (very Formula One ); Nonsuch has taken the opportunity of changing their entry to a French/Cypriot singer who came second in the 2007 UK Song For Europe "Making Your Mind Up" contest.

Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart

Lyrics:

now comes the hour

a last goodbye

as we watch the twilight fading

come to me

let me kiss you one more time

and over the sea i'll be sailing

so take my hand

and lead me to the water

althought i'll leave a part will still be true

i will take the memories that we treasure

and i'll leave my heart with you

and come to me let me kiss you one more time

and over the sea i'll be sailing

so take my hand and lead me to the waters

but though i leave our love will still be true

i will take the memories that we treasure

and i'll leave my heart with you

and those memories will comfort me

until we meet again

so take my hand and lead me to the waters

though i'll leave our love will still be true

i will take the memories that we treasure

and i'll leave my heart with you

and i'll leave my heart with youuuuuuuuuuu.

Cyndi Almouzni - I'll Leave My Heart (Live MYMU 2007)

Oooh, I never knew she was half-Cypriot! :o Either way, this is FANTASTIC, and my feelings on its non-selection are well documented -_-

O.......kay.... after what has happened on Thursday my previous selection is now ineligible.

Therefore, Nonsuch have selected a track by a relatively well known New Zealand/UK artist Natasha Bedingfield, with this new power ballad track not previously available taken from the Original Soundtrack Album "Confessions of a Shopaholic".

Natasha Bedingfield - Again

Hands over my head thinking what else could go wrong .

would of stayed in bed, how can the day be so long

Never believed that things happen for a reason.

but how this turned out removed all my doughts so believeeee

that for you I'd do it all over again.

( do it all over again )

all I went through led me to you

so I'd do it all over again ... for you. for you . for you

I missed the first train stood out in the rain all daaaay.

little did I know, when I caught the next train there you were to sweep me way. guess that's what I waited for

Never believed that things happen for a reason

but how this turned out removed all my doughts.

so believe that for you I'd do it all over again ( do it all over again)

all I went through it led me to you .

so I'd do it all over again.

O0o who ever thought a day gone so wrong would turn out so lovely.

yea I'm so glad I found you

even though the day went so wrong I wouldn't change a thing.

yeaaa yea o0o I'd do it yea yea yea

I'd do it all over again

do it all over, again again again

all I went through it led me to you .

so I'd do it all over again.

( I'd do it all over again )

I'd do it all over

( I'd do it all over again )

I'd do it all over

( I'd do it all over again )

I'd do it all over

( I'd do it all over again )

for you . for you .

all I went through it led me to you ( to you )

I'd do it all over ( I'd do it all over again )

whoever thought a day gone so wrong could turn out so lovely 2x

o0o yeaa yeaa

As Nonsuch quite fancies hosting the competition again when I have a week off in June.

It is time to reveal that Nonsuch's entry for BJSC XVI will be (well it is scheduled to be) getting the UK artist in question receives her UK Radio debut when her debut single is played on Jo Whiley's show at 10.45am tomorrow morning (Friday 3rd April) for the first time.

:smoke:

maybe it's Pixie :heehee: Mama Do isn't great though so probably not :nocheer:

then again, it's most likely to be New In Town by Little Boots seeing as that's Rich's current No.1...

I don't think the BJSC can handle much more of Little Boots  having said that, Mathematics is my favourite of the 4 of her songs sent to date by far so they are getting better each time!

Little Boots wouldn't be getting her debut, they played a song by each of the "Sound of 2009" artists on Switch a while ago and Radio 1 playlisted "Stuck On Repeat" for a while. I remember because I was debating whether to chart it over it. I didn't know it was being released. Should be interesting to see what it is.

Little Boots has been used so much and she hasn't even released her debut album. Shame, if "Symmetry" is as good as it sounds in full I'd have loved to send it.

Well, I'm listening now so, I shall know the artist in question, in about 25 minutes :D
