I think Paul is a publicist, surely? A fan wouldn't be this sure of himself.
Another fact on Connie Talbot ...According to Vidmeter she has 27th most watched online video in the world with nearly 42 million hits.Ironically the video has been removed but still gains thousands more hits every day.

Um.. how much do they pay you to sit in front of a computer all day and type crappy statistics about minor artists on message boards? Is it more than the minimum wage? If so, PM me and perhaps we can come to an agreement. Look forward to hearing from you!! :P

thats because the population is alot less than it is the UK. Just like to go gold in the USA you need to sell/ship/whatever 500,000 copies 5times that of the UK.

She needs to do a cover of this gem

:heehee:

I actually like that song

Haha i love it, i rember her preforming that on Nickleodeon then never hearing it again, till i randomly rembered her name like 2 years ago and searched her out. She did so well down under she got to release a greatest hits :o. Once again though the UK ignored a great song, and Strawberry Kisses was a big big flop at number 64 or something like that.

Home grown releases in smaller Asian countries are still able to push 50K+ - it's not along the same levels of Japan and Korea, but 15K really isn't a lot...and considering the only foreign artists to do well are either from other Asian countries or big American names, I hardly believe that a 6 year old nobody has done that.

If she wasnt popular in Korea then why are there 100s of flashes going off as soon as she arrived at the airport ?

Have a look on You Tube & watch the videos and read the comments.

So big oops to you.

She is not a minor artist globally.Look at the messages on the forums on her website or comments on the 100s of You Tube videos. She is loved by millions of people out there , including my family.

Out of curiosity we look at what she is up to .

PS I am not a publicist . My daughter knows her , she lives local to us.

I did not intend this to be a slanging match .

Her release went gold in the UK? Seriously, what?!

I bought her album and love her singing. Three Little Birds is great and should be No.1.

Perhaps they were trying to shoot the plane down? ^_^

Well that's obviously a deluded comment, since she's been on NO major tv, had NO hit record, her music ISN'T popular in Korea and there, and in Asia, she's a NObody D:

I watched that video, and it's nothing more than press conference. Don't be so deluded as to think that anyone here cares about her.

Methinks she would rather be at home with her friends than travelling around the world to places she hasn't even heard of. And of course the parents decided that she should go abroad to make them pots o'gold. Do you think she's capable of making the decision herself? Sounds like a classic case of when the kid grows up, she'll resent her parents for making her work so hard when so young. None of this is set in stone, it's just you hear so many sob stories of former childhood stars whose lives are ruined by so much pressure being on them when they were small that the likelihood is it will end in tears. Of course it doesn't help that I find her singing annoying and her gap toothed smile rather creepy. But hey, maybe that's just me :)

Couldn't agree with you more.

I'm not quite sure that I believe it, it was more proof that Paul might not just be talking out his arse and he is getting his info from somewhere...

I personally don't understand why she's famous at all, I don't even think she was any good and I find it incredibly creepy and disturbing when fully grown men are there watching a 6 year old girl praising how good she is. I also think it's incredibly wrong for her to have this kind of success at such a young age, it's depriving her of her childhood and I'm not bothered what people say about how much she's 'loving it', it WILL be ruining her, she's not growing up naturally, she's being forced. And it's completely wrong. If I had children no matter how 'talented' at something they might be I'd be completely against this kind of thing until they're grown up enough to understand the real world better.

The fans just wanted to touch her. The response has been amazing. In South Korea it looks like the album is going to be the country’s biggest seller of all time.”

I'm sorry, but bull$h!t much? The sales in Korea have downspiralled massively since 2004, an album barely sells over 150K there anymore. The highest selling album of 2007 sold about 165K I think. NO artist anytime soon is going to have the biggest selling album in South Korean history, especially when the highest selling sold like 2.6 million or something like that. Besides that fact aside, Asian countries are very xenophobic towards western artists, so even if it was possible, a 6 year old girl surely wouldn't do it.

I've just had a little listen to this and it isn't as awful as I thought it would be. Its still pretty bad and I certainly wouldn't buy it but it isn't downright awful.

At last, finally, there is someone on this forum that likes her music.I think Bob Marley would have been quite chuffed about her version of Three Little Birds.

I know you are biased in your way of thinking but take a look at this link I can't speak Korean but it looks as if the album has been number one in several charts over there . What do you make of it ?
