yeah I thought it was great! just as good as the first.

The battle scenes were bigger and more impressive (but still not quite up to LOTR standard...) than the first... Susan is getting VERY handy with that longbow, and there's a great fight sequence between Miraz and Peter which almost rivals the best scenes from "Gladiator".... I really liked the Dwarf character Trumpkin, "Dear little friend..?? That's not at all patronising is it....?"  Right up there with Gimli's "Nobody tosses a Dwarf" from LOTR.... And Eddie Izzard doing a voiceover for a talking, sword-wielding mouse.....  Priceless....

My only problem - the lack of a deliciously NASTY villain in the mould of Tilda Swinton's White Witch from the first film.... King Miraz is kind of the "diet coke of evil" in comparison to WW.... Swinton's cameo as the White Witch in this film only really serves to accentuate the fact that the film is somewhat lacking in this "boo, hiss" villain area....

Could've done with a bit more "blood n guts" in the battles as well, but I suppose they wanted to keep it at PG rather than go for 12A....

All in all though, it's a pretty damn good Summer film, more satisfying than Indy or Wanted, I'd put it on a par with "Iron Man"....

Yeah the White Witch character is excellent, would have loved to see more of her in the film, the 3 minutes or so she appeared was one of the best parts In it for myself.

I thought the battle scenes were amazing, especially the huge one right after Peter and that other guys fight.

But I found it all a bit boring in total honesty. It took so long to get going, and at times it just seemed to drag on forever...

I like it, took a while to get going, and most of the time I didn't know what was going on, but I haven't read the book, I thought the trees were a tad over the top though

When I saw that bit, I just kept thinking of The Ents in LOTR.....

Same here, I love Treebeard

I was really disappointed with this. They fleshed it out hugely, and all they did was make it too long a bit dull.

The best part by far was the White Witch - she acted everyone off the screen and she was only in it for 5 minutes!

I saw it tonight. I did rather enjoy it. :cheer: What was with Prince Caspian's terrible accent though?

Well, the rest of the cast playing his people were all bloody SPANISH or ITALIAN......  So, he just tried to do a "Young Antonio Banderas" impression..... Frankly, I dunno why they cast a Brit in that role when the rest of 'em were continentals..... I'm sure they could've found a "hot" young Spanish actor to play Caspian....

Spanish?

I thought he was pretending to be Bulgarian or Albanian or somesuch!
