Unknown Brooklyn band Creaky Boards have indirectly accused Coldplay (via YouTube) of ripping off their song 'Vida La Vida'. Andrew Hoepfner, the band's songwriter, even alleged that Chris Martin may have been at their CMJ festival in New York last October.

The 'original' song is iconically called 'The Songs I didnt Write'. Hoepfer concludes by saying: 'Anyway, I wish Coldplay the best of luck. If they ever want to collaborate, I've got some microphones we could use in my bedroom. I'm gonna get ready to play a show now. I hope the soundguy remembers to pass the tip jar...'

I think it sounds about 5% like VLV, and most songs are slightly related anyway

I think Creaky Boards are trying to get something from nothing <_>

<_< yeah they are just using coldplay to get attention. That awful song of theirs is nothing next to VIVA LA VIDA

Their voices are similar, but with 6 billion people on the planet that's bound to happen....In general the songs are very different

Sad that a unknown band has to attack other bands just to get some attention :(

Nothing can match Viva La Vida.
