So the Levellers hang on for only a week at the top and are replaced by a brand new entry. This week I had a road to Damascus moment with One Day Like This. I had heard it a couple of times and thought it was ok but then last week I heard it again and this time I thought Oh My God! As a result Elbow get their first #1 on the chart. Elsewhere the new entries are thinner on the ground with Mistress Mabel at #14, and the new singles from The Subways, Primal Scream and Cage the Elephant appearing lower down. Tracks that entered last week had a mixed second as some went up, some stayed the same and some went down. Biggest winner was Born Ruffians with the track Hummingbird which is currently soundtracking the Orange advert.
