I am so annoyed at the lack of action in the download the chart, so many brilliant songs lingering in the top 75, compared to the old and stale records in side the top 40, I mean why are Mercy, With You, Rolex, Cry For You, Low, Heartbreaker, Black and Gold all stillt here and climbing over newer, fresher music that peaks at say top 20 then drops or fails to get even into the the top 40, its frustrating and annoying that this chart is virtually what the uk charts look like, i miss the days physicals would make the chart less predictable even with download sales............

If that was the case, there'd never be any new songs in the chart - which is obviously untrue. Could it not be that you're just annoyed because songs YOU like are being sidelined in favour of old songs that people obviously like more? It's always been the same imo, if a song is liked enough it becomes a hit, it's pretty obvious really... Jark is right.

Not just because songs I like being sidelined, although that does indeed happen. Yes we get new songs in the charts, but if you listen to the top 40 each week they're very few and far between and it's always the same old same old for months... that is my annoyance.

If you want to be a new act that does well these days, you NEED airplay and hype - simple as.

 

Annie hasnt got the airplay and she hasn't got the hype so it was always gona fail.

 

Hopefully her next single will do better.
