 at the whole thought that a losing NF entry from a foreign country is B-listed by a British radio station.

Melodifestivalen isn't like other national finals :P about half of the 32 songs could be hits in some form in some countries across the world...

it's a shame Hero won (although I love it) because it would appear that Sweden are selecting the same song every year but the vast diversity of the songs on offer in this year's MF suggested otherwise...

I'm sure Sweden's biggest radio station would playlist It's You by The Revelations if some money was thrown behind the track :o

But you've gotta admit that it's strange how - for a country that blames politics whenever the United Kingdom does badly (without mentioning that Ireland gave us 8 points this year) - a song that could have represented a different country is B-listed by a British radio station.

Whoever's in charge at Radio 2 probably doesn't even know that 'Lay Your Love on Me' was nearly a Eurovision song though tbh. I actually think it's a better song than 'Hero', and wish it had been selected now. :(

yeah true, they probably just think its the new single of a band who they've playlisted twice before...

personally I think Empty Room by Sanna Nielsen should have represented Sweden...it was the televote winner after all!

If they knew it was an almost Eurovision song they probably wouldn't have playlisted it either LOL. -_-

Yeah it is, not the best position but I hope it can climb slightly. :(
  • 1 month later...

It was released too late.

Months after the Swedish release...

Fans in the UK had already found it on the internet...

And REAL fans had already bought the Swedish release, like, uhm, me!
