and the ones that didnt make number 1 have lasted longer than the ones that did reach number 1

But didnt Ultraviolet/Ballad of Paul K and Room on the Third Floor reach number 9?

'Ultraviolet/Ballad' yes, 'Room' made #5. But I meant the term "always" loosely. :P

Do people think if HMV are sorting this problem with 3000 sales and sort it out on time, it will make any difference to their charting by Sunday?
Well atm Dizzee is only 1000 in front of Mcfly so if HMV manage to sort their c**k up then Mcfly will be in front again. Then it will depend on sales today as to who is going to be number one tomorrow. If Mcfly do not end up as no1 then i think a lot of people will be asking whether Dizzee is truly no1 because of sales and not because of a mistake that HMV have made.

A wonderful quote in the Sun from Dizzee today. Or rather not.

“If I don’t beat ’em in the charts then I’ll beat ’em up on the streets!”

A lovely thing to encourage with the current crisis of stabbings and all, especially in the capital, this year.

No, I don't think it will make any difference, Dizzee is increasing his lead and is way ahead on downloads. Plus I'm sure they will add those sales (if the information is true).

the top 3 in the singles and albums are close but with mc fly still number 2 and all their tactics used up its lukin gud they wont get number 1 il be so disappointed if they are number 1 on sunday although i look forward to the following week when they will fall rapidly

iti will fall fast anyway the free album is in the mail tommorow

And this is the sort of person that is at the top of the charts.

What a great role model....

Eurgh, I try to not hate McFly but there's always some pathetic excuse about why they aren't number one. You can guarentee that if Dizzee sells 46k and they sell 41k that HMV have actually screwed them over of 6,000 copies! :manson:

Let's get a band who manipulate teenagers to make money out of them to the top instead then!

At least they are not encouraging violence.

And they don't make people go out and buy all formats of the single its simply an option.

I never said i wanted mcfly to be no.1 i would just prefer anyone to Dizzee.

I get the feeling thiis week's chart may be a stitch up. I bought the Mail today and in advertising it's free copy of Radioactive with the Mail On Sunday in the middle pages it says and I quote: FEATURES THE NO 1 HIT SINGLE ONE FOR THE RADIO. Well excuse me for being old-fashioned, but I thought the top 40 was released to the public on Sunday at 7.00? The sales for this week haven't even been counted yet for Saturday (and Friday when the advert in the paper when to press early this morning) and already they're claiming victory!! I reckon that they'll make sure they get to the top spot by hell and high water, even if it means getting a load of friends and record company workers to use that stupid 50p text download multiple times. Seriously, if they are numbero uno tomorrow whatever credence the charts have will be washed away, because on top of the 3 different physical cds and the 2 text downloads on offer, Mcfly will have effectively rigged the result even though their song is NOT THE MOST POPULAR ONE IN THE COUNTRY. If their tactics work, they could be taken up by other bands.. then we'll back to good days of songs debuting at No 1 and falling to 17 the next week. WHOPPEE. Nice one McCheats, for proving what a bunch of sore losers you really are..

P.S Just as I was about to post this message, i saw a little commercial on The Hits advertising the album... and it made the same claim about the non-existent No 1 single! Surely you can complain about this kind of false advertising? I'm off to call the number on the asa website. See yas later...

 wacko its not even #1 yet

Have McFly REALLY sold over 23k of physicals?
I don't know what McFly will do for the next single now that Woolworths will be pulling cd singles. They're running out of options. The fact that its only done 4000 digital sales is pitiful

never hear of a mis print?

obviously they mail took into account the fact they were number 1 in the midweeks when they done the ads for the album.

they offer txts downloads as its easy 50p a txt to younger fans which don't have a debit card to buy on the net.

Its still got to be better then saying someones going to beat someone up in the street when the country is in such a f***ing mess as it is

what a great stunt Dizzies come up with

yes Mcfly have their ways of trying to get to number 1 but they are harmless fun

i blame people like Dizzie for the way the country is atm

what a great role model he is

im off now to go and stab someone

see ya

Edited by itsme123

i think they will either save pov as the next single or release lies which from what ive heard sounds a cross between she falls a sleep and too close for comfort(from the 2nd album)

Yeah Lies sounds amazing too. It's a lot faster than those two songs though!
