Posted July 15, 200817 yr McFly set for singles success 10:58 | Tuesday July 15, 2008 By Ben Cardew Mcfly appear to be heading for number one with the first single released on their own label Super Records. One For The Radio is 5,000 sales ahead of its nearest competitor, Dizzee Rascal’s Dance Wiv Me (Dirtee Stank), according to early retail reports. Meanwhile, Kid Rock’s All Summer Long (Atlantic) looks set to claim a top three place in the chart this Sunday, while Madonna’s Give It 2 Me (Warner Bros) should climb into the top ten. On the albums chart, it looks likely to be a close-fought competition at the top of the charts, with only 30 sales currently separating Basshunter’s debut Now You’re Gone – The Album (Hard2Beat) and Sharleen Spiteri’s Melody (Mercury). Now You’re Gone is fractionally ahead at this point, with Coldplay’s Viva La Vida (Parlophone) still selling well and set for another week in the top three. The Hold Steady’s debut album for Rough Trade, Stay Positive, should also debut in the top ten. =============================== Tuesday Update Singles Top 40 Only 01 McFly 17.2k 02 Dizzee Rascal 12.7k 03 Kid Rock 8.6k 04 Basshunter 7.7k 05 Jordin Sparks 7.5k Top 10 06 Madonna Top 15 Ting Tings Top 20 Flo Rida - Low Top 30 The Kooks One Night Only 28 Sugababes 30 Sharleen Spiteri Top 40 Primal Scream Chris Brown Noah & The Whale ================================== Albums Top 75 Only 01 Basshunter 9.2k - 30 copies ahead :o 02 Shalreen Spiteri 9.2k 03 Coldplay 8.4k 04 Duffy 6.3k 05 Chris Brown 4.4k Top 10 ABBA - Gold Hold Steady Top 15 12 Madonna Top 20 Amy MacDonald Nas Top 30 Billy Joel Usher The Kooks Mamma Mia (OCR) Top 40 Pendulum Alphabeat The Fratellis Kings Of Leon Top 50 Pendulum - Hold Your Colour Lil' Wayne Amy Winehouse - Frank 49 Jordin Sparks Top 60 Abba - 18 Hits Robert Plant Carla Bruni Bob Marley - Legend Texas - Greatest Hits Top 70 Sugababes - Change Carpenters - Gold Kaiser Chiefs - Yours Truly Angry Mob Top 75 Elvis Presley - Hitstory Feeling Pigeon Detectives Raconteurs Sales Source: Andy70 at havenforum +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PLEASE NOTE Please keep this thread on topic at all times, I do not want to repeat myself every week, no text talk is allowed, do not write in block CAPS, and keep all requests in one post if you can, and try to read the thread topic before asking a question and please be patient while you are waiting for your question to be answered. July 15, 200817 yr I think Madge will just miss the top five and can see Dizzee still at the top with Kid Rock and then McFly taking the other two spaces!! I really hope Sharleen can get a top five album
July 15, 200817 yr I think mclfy will get top 3 (possibly no1), madonna top 5 and really hope annie can make top 40. Exciting today
July 15, 200817 yr McFly almost always do 30k+ for the first single of a new album so unfortunately I think they'll be top 3 at the very least :( :(
July 15, 200817 yr God, I hope so much anything but McFly is number one this week, come on Dizzee/Calvin I think top 5 could go like this: 5 - Madonna (if she's lucky) or Ne-Yo 4 - Basshunter 3
July 15, 200817 yr I think Mcfly will be at No 1 in the singles chart today (but won't be able to last the course throughout the week) and Basshunter will be a surprise No 1 in the albums..
July 15, 200817 yr Without all their tour text pre-orders McFly will struggle to reach #1 this time. But still with 3 CD formats available for £4 they should manage a top 3 place. Hopefully Jordin Sparks overtake Basshunter Basshunter will probably be #1 in albums Can I just ask why Great DJ is used in the subtitle of this thread?
July 15, 200817 yr Author Can I just ask why Great DJ is used in the subtitle of this thread? :heehee: I was listening to the radio this morning and Great DJ was playing and I couldn't get the words out of my head :heehee: as I was posting this thread up :P
July 15, 200817 yr :heehee: I was listening to the radio this morning and Great DJ was playing and I couldn't get the words out of my head :heehee: as I was posting this thread up :P Haha, fair enough. I just thought there was something I missed. It's a brilliant song
July 15, 200817 yr I think today's will look like this: 01 | McFly 02 | Dizzee 03 | Jordin 04 | Basshunter 05 | Ne-Yo TBH Albums: 01 | Basshunter 02 | Coldplay 03 | Duffy then i dont know :(
July 15, 200817 yr I hope Madonna can go Top 5 but I have a feeling she may end up at No.7. That's what she gets for releasing a mediocre song
July 15, 200817 yr That's what she gets for releasing a mediocre song I think it's miles better than '4 Minutes'.
July 15, 200817 yr If f*cking Basshunter make the #1 album over Sharleen Spiteri I will emigrate to Iraq.
July 15, 200817 yr I think it's miles better than '4 Minutes'. None of them are a patch on anything that was on Confessions though. She has to realise she cant realease rubbish and still expect to do well. And please tell me McFly aint number one :puke2:
