3  (from 15) Keane - Is it any Wonder?

May 2006

Having circumnavigated the planet with the emotive strains of 'Hopes And Fears', delivering their debut album to the world and genuinely winning the hearts of everyone who saw them, Keane are now back with their brand new single 'Is It Any Wonder?'. Embracing their guitar-free ethos more wholeheartedly, 'Is It Any Wonder?' is the sound of Keane positively reverberating around the studio, with space aged synths arching their way through Tim's emotive deliverance of a bitter and frustrated relationship. 'Is It Any Wonder?' is a fitting appetiser for their forthcoming album, 'Under The Iron Sea'. - HMV

Oooh top two now... I'm still not convinced it will be Sandi, Gnarls could have got the Saturday sales. :funky:

Sandi was 2k ahead in the last update, I think it's safe to say she's got it. :o

She probably will be as they're publicising "if you get to number one" loads....she said she's even buy a clapped-out car if she does. Sounds like a lovely girl though but i hate resent her for denying Keane of a number one!

2  Gnarls Barkley Crazy

Goodie Mobs Cee-Lo joins forces with Danger Mouse to provide what can only be described as a classic for 2006. 'Crazy' has been causing hysteria on the web as well as being championed by some of the biggest names in radio. With it's solid yet smooth beat and soulful lyrical assault, Gnarls Barkley is going to set the charts alight. - HMV

Even if Sandi wasn't in the chart, Keane wouldn't have got a #1 anyway.

The girl that webcast from her basement in Tooting to thousands of people across the globe now releases her debut single 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)'. The subsequent buzz saw her become the first high profile signing by Craig Logan as he steps into his position at the head of the newly re-launched RCA label. Following the success of artists like KT Tunstall, Sandi should do well with her fairly unique mix of powerful, rootsy, soulful vocals and sparse instrumentation, consisting of only percussion and drums. - HMV
