August 23, 200816 yr So does this mean she's given up on the sprock? In a press release it states; , and a direction that has progressed and evolved without abandoning Anastacia’s signature sound Which is stupid, as these are the producers she is working with () : Ne-Yo Lester Mendez JR Rotem Guy Chambers Rodney Jerkins [Darkchild] The Heavyweights Sam & Louis Kara Diogaurdi Sam & Louis both done alot of work on her first two albums, and Kara worked on her 3rd, but apart from that, that list pretty much sums up the sound of the album. :/
August 24, 200816 yr My god, I hope there's some 'sprock' on the album. With Anastacia she had found the sound which was perfect for her - I can't imagine why she'd have given up on that?! It's not like there was nowhere within that sub-genre she could go. Songs like In Your Eyes previewed where she could've taken things. :( I just pray that with Kara on board she'll remain with an element of rock. Kara excels at that after all.

It's because her new company (Universal) will be getting her to try and break into the American Market. :/ Which would explain the sound.
August 24, 200816 yr Surely though she wouldn't have signed with a label who wouldn't let her take the direction she wanted to? And besides, Anastacia was her biggest-selling album, so America or no America, they know that 'sprock' sells...

And besides, Anastacia was her biggest-selling album, so America or no America, they know that 'sprock' sells... Her contract ended with Sony, and her manager left to to join Universal so she went with him. And yeah it's a shame, but 'Left Outside Alone' never really made an impact in the USA (even with a new 'American' video). It's quite stupid really.
August 24, 200816 yr I like this it seems like a grower. But I say top 20 single as her singles usually underperform. No.1 for the album hopefully!
August 25, 200816 yr what is it now with artists releasing such disappointing lead singles, first Sugababes and now this I know that the suga's rushed their album but for god's sake she's had 2/3 years to try to get it right! I'm losing my faith in pop music now
August 25, 200816 yr I don't think the album will make #1 because Snow Patrol's new album is scheduled to be released on the same week...and that's a sure-fire #1 -_-
August 26, 200816 yr having to compete with snow Patrol, P!nk, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bloc Party, Razorlight, J-Lo and Katie Melua I'd say the Album for top 3
August 28, 200816 yr The song is a grower!! But I still think it isn't lead single material! Top 10 would be awesome! Anyway, here's a piano version of the song. It sounds GREAT! Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwVaKGPSwqg&feature=user Edited August 28, 200816 yr by Luis_
August 28, 200816 yr Single Prediction - Number 6 [Will Hit Top 10 On Downloads I Think Before Physical] Album Prediction - Number 4
August 29, 200816 yr I know :( ! Ne.Yo <_< ! He had the opportunity to make an AMAZING song with one of the best voices nowadays... and see what he did... -_- Edited August 29, 200816 yr by Luis_
August 30, 200816 yr Piano Version (full song): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xxcqSfpdoeA Sounds great!
August 31, 200816 yr Already overplayed here in Italy this first sigle is good and could do wery well in the top 40 , top 3 i see. N.1 FOR THE ALBUM but we will see that time competition. We ' re waiting for a good video too!
August 31, 200816 yr Seems like the video was shot a couple of weeks ago in Los Angeles and directed by Chris Applebaum (who signed and directed videos for "Umbrella" - Rihanna, Mariah Carey - "I'll Be Lovin 'You long Time" or the Pussycat Dolls - "I Don't Need a Man"). I'm a little bit worried ... Edited August 31, 200816 yr by Luis_
September 25, 200816 yr T10 single #1 album I'd like to revise my prediction. The single has grown on me, so I'll now say top 3 - but just #2 for the album as it's up against Snow Patrol. Here is the video too : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbuZ_DsqA_o She looks FIT! :naughty: Edited September 25, 200816 yr by vidcapper
September 25, 200816 yr it's actually grown on me a huge amount too but I still can't see it going top ten, unless it's a James Morrison style surprise
