August 29, 200816 yr Maybe it's about Michael Jackson's new album  xox. You mean the greatest hits one that had its tracklisting picked by fans and was announced in the Sun in early July?
August 29, 200816 yr Well, Alesha Dixon has popped up at #2 on Popjustice's Almighty. It could be her comeback single, since that's due very soon... To be honest, that's not really a HUGE top secret thing is it? Then again, I don't really know what Popjustice considers big. Then again, is the new GA single/album a very big pop thing that they'd get in trouble if they told us about. Like, why would they get in trouble if they told us about it? Surely they could say something like "We've heard GA's new single, but that's all we can say, they want it to be a big surprise." I really don't know what it is now, but I'm sure it's probably something a lot less exciting than they're making out.
August 29, 200816 yr GA is definitely THE biggest thing it could be on PJ :P They have an incredible huge fanbase there. It's basically the unofficial GA forum LOL. But Alesha is also big on the Popjustice forums, and this would be a BIG pop thing if she had a single as huge as About You Now, Bleeding Love or whatever. :o
August 29, 200816 yr I don't think it's likely to be a big shock announcement. It's more likely to be an amazing new song/album
August 30, 200816 yr I'd love it to be something about Alesha's single being completely and utterly amazing, but I'm not sure why that would be a secret, even for the sake of hyping it up. It could be about a collaboration, or some event that Alesha or any of the other favourites are involved with. It's already public knowledge that Alesha was working with Xenomania, so unless she's going to be teaming up with Jay-Z or something, that might be false hope on my part.
August 30, 200816 yr It doesn't necessarily have to be anything to do with majorly popular acts there already surely? Outside of those 'pj popular acts' you still have the potential for something poptastically nuts. Look at PJ's handling of 'Beware of the Dog' by Jamelia a few years back. Absolute hype to the maximum and she wasn't exactly a huge forum favourite. It won't be anything we know about already hence why he's unable to discuss. I'm so cynical with PJ these days mind you. They have bias to certain labels and I'm pretty sure there's some unsavoury collusion going on when PJ 'promotes' and hypes certain acts and songs...
August 30, 200816 yr They have bias to certain labels and I'm pretty sure there's some unsavoury collusion going on when PJ 'promotes' and hypes certain acts and songs... I agree, lately some of the songs they are hyping are just terrible.
August 30, 200816 yr ^But thats your opinion; mr Popjustice has his own. :heehee: Peter Robinson is a very credible journalist. The only label connections which are considered to exist are those with Fascination, and he's been open about such links.
August 30, 200816 yr I love that article it seems so like something I would say "I know something you don't know, but if I tell you I'll get in trouble". Such a tease. I expect it's GA related or, like Simon said, the (rumoured?) Kylie and Dannii duet. no it's rather like: "I know something you don't know but I don't wanna tell you :P"

The only label connections which are considered to exist are those with Fascination, and he's been open about such links. That's a fairly naïve approach to take. There's been various discussion over the last few years as to whether there is collusion. I don't deny Robinson is credible but I don't believe things are an even playing field at PJ Towers at all...

They recently stated that 'CTS' was the best Girls Aloud single, while they could only say it was a very good song at the time of its release.... They've been raving about the Babes a lot more since 'AYN', so I'm like 99% sure this article is NOT GA related.
August 30, 200816 yr PopJustice is at its worst with "stories" like this. It could be absolutely anything. Just showing off possession of secret knowledge: bragging.
August 30, 200816 yr I highly doubt it's Aleshas comeback, hardly a big comeback. I agree though that it probably isnt as big as we'd like it to be.

Whose bumming of "The biggest new thing in Pop in 2008" The Saturdays has left him wide wide open to criticism and ridicule! I mean I'm still reeling from If This Ain't Love 8th week at UK#1 aren't you. :heehee:
August 30, 200816 yr Patience and we might find out. Could be The Saturdays album. thisispop - you really cant shoot him down for supporting The Saturdays when he has no doubt heard more tracks of theirs than you.

I've heard Issues, Set Me Off & Up and IMHO they sound like tracks rejected from previous Girls Aloud & Sugababes albums. They'll do well to match the success of a certain boyband from earlier this decade Phixx who managed 4 UK Top 20 hit singles before going down the dumper. .... And where are they now 4/5 years on??????? 7pu0YMbPPuI Nikk Mager (Phixx) - X Factor 2008 audition
August 30, 200816 yr Thanks for the generic rhetorical question and complimentary youtube video response, but Matt is right - he's heard the album, you've heard two studio songs, a live performance and a youtube quality future single. Plus you consider Katy Perry a talent.
