I can't vote because of the last question. Both comebacks are c**p, which is very disappointing as I love Pink and Anastacia.

"So What" is just a cheesy pastiche of past Pink triumphs, and I'm still in shock that Anastacia could even think of recording anything as forgettable as I Feel You.

Pink will sell more.

So What is wonderful. o.o Wow. You are the first person I have seen disappointed.

Pink for all three obviously. Anastacia's single is so boring. Though I've never liked her. BAH @ HER.

P!nk for all three.

and :o at seeing someone actually dislike 'So What' :o Wow it's quite refreshing actually

Anastasia is VERY 2004. She's left it too long to come back I think, especially with such a terrible lead single. Who's really going to buy her album now? Alienated her old fanbase and hasn't got a new one to court really :/
Pink for all three

Anastacia's dull as dishwater comeback single will sink her album

I wouldn't say it was that bad.

Anastacia is a lotter hotter than Pink, though, IMO :naughty:

I seriously doubt Anastacia will sell more. I have a big suspiscion she will flop this time around. Flop in the sense of making the top ten but not selling a lot in the longrun. I like her and all but from the first single P!nk's is far superior and Anastacia's is rather disappointing compared to her last era which was brilliant. Plus she's been away for so long.

I'll say P!nk for all three.

Are you a fan of any artist?

I know its your opinion and you're entitled to it, BUT thats to cruel to say! And too cruel to read!

How can you say an artist as talented as Anastacia has left it too long to come back? :(

I totally respect the fact people don't like Anastacia's new single! I'm really disappointed as well. She is way to talented to release something like this! :(

But you shouldn't write something like that about any artist! Its never too late to come back!!!

Anyway,

I voted:

- So What

- Funhouse

- Anastacia :D (We haven't heard the albuns yet, so I believe 'Heavy Rotation' will be way better!)

Jakes right though. She's killed off her fanbase, and it's not like ICFY is pulling in new fans. And the comeback hype (was there even any?) has already died down to, unlike in 2003/2004.

I don't think it is right to say that it is too late for an artist to come back!

Don't get me wrong though! I'm not a fan that will love everything Anastacia says or does, or worship every single burp that comes out of her mouth!

I admit I'm disappointed; the song is not lead single material; there are big chances that the album will flop, and so on...

And I totally respect everyone's opinion about the single!

But Josh, don't tell me Jake is right! Because I don't think it is right to offend others!

Some might say I'm over reacting... well, maybe.

I don't understand. Jake's post isn't offensive in the slightest? Who exactly did he offend? All he was saying was...well, Josh pretty much explained what he meant so I wont go through it again.

Well yes, you ARE over-reacting COMPLETELY. I must be missing exactly what it was that Jake said that was so offensive.

Well it'd be only too easy to get 'offensive': "Manastacia", "voice of $h!t", "cheese", "terrible", dirty flop. LOL etc

Saying she's left it too late is more or less truth tbh. Because she has.

Well, we´ve only heard 1 song of each, so isn´t it too soon to say which material is better??? I´m sure people are only voted in their personal "devotion" for each artists. Here´s my 2 cents:

Anastacia´s new song is ok, but nothing special. The album might have an ok-ish 1st week, but it will need better singles to achieve good sales in the long run. Still, I think it will have better 1st week sales then Pink in the UK, altough it should sink quicker.

Pink´s new song is beyond awful, almost unlistenable. Artistically, it´s value is null. It´s just a commercial cash-in in the same wave of the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and other teenager $h!t that will be forgoteen in 10 weeks. And her "rock" attitude is laughable, since she sells to the same fans of Britney Spears. I thought this would flop but it´s doing great in the USA. But anyway, maybe the single will sink quick, and the sucess of the album in the long run will, again, depend on the followup singles, like what happened with I´m Not Dead.

In the end, I think neither Pink or Anastacia will become trademark artists of 2008... This will be remembered as the year of Coldplay, Duffy, and Dido.

2008? Remembered for Dido? Oh dar. I like the girl but if you think 'Dont Believe In Love' has the potential to come close to 'So What' in the comeback single stakes then... :heehee:

'So What' is no commercial cash-in. It's perfect; on the surface it's brimming with a sort of anger as P!nk says she's fine, but if you properly listen it's got some quite sad undertones and ultimately she's saying 'I'm fine (but im not)', in that I-dont-want-to-admit-that-we-need-each-other sense. There's quite a lot of longing and sadness in there which is quite the achievement for what could quite easily be read as a mere party-song uptempo on the surface.

No, it´s just a commercial, manufactured and easily forgettable teenage pseudo-rock that makes Avril Lavinge sound like adult music. Dido is already hyped as comeback of the year. The Sun has an article on the new album... She worked with Jon Brion, and Brian Eno from U2. She´s a heavyweight, and taken seriously in music. Pink is not. "Safe Trip Home" is already tipped comeback of the year, as The Sun states 1 in every 5 houses in UK has a Dido album, and the new one is brilliant. Don´t Believe In Love is just a teaser. And it´s very hard in the ears for people used to listen to Disney acts, but "serious" artists always sell more albums then bubblegum acts.

Remember an album is not only made of a single... And the sucess of a single not necessarily means a sucessful album. The singles charts is always filled with dull bubblegum pop, but some of that artists have small album sales. I don´t think "So What" will inspire many people to buy Pink´s albums. She will need a proper decent song as a 2nd single...

It's obnoxious, ignorant and tunnel-visioned posts such as your last two which you make not worth responding to. Utterly delusional.
I'm not overly fussed with 'So What' (or Pink, reallly...) but it's a hell of a lot better and FAR less 'bubblegum' than the lead single off her previous album which went onto sell over a million in the UK...
