LOL what happened was - we were told not to stand or dance.

That was the 2nd recording of the performance and she clearly wanted us to stand so told us too :D

She was so spaced out. The audience laughter was so cringey throughout!

Why were you told not to stand or dance? Did people ignore the requests when she asked you to? And what do you mean about the laughter?

I'm so full of questions!

LOL its ok-

No idea why not allowed to stand! But we didnt first time. Then second time we did :D

Laughter- just 95% of audience thought she was bit of a prick and was laughing at her awkwardly!

Its a shame she came across like this on her first big UK interview. <_<

Hmmm, from just browsing through the comments and not seeing the show myself I'd say:

If she comes across as fake, maybe that's just who she is, I mean covering up coming across as fake is a bit TOO perfect. .? GaGa's quirkyness and originality are main factors when getting to love her and her music. .

But then again I don't know what's going on, but gosh just accept her for her weird moments <3 her music and style is weird anyway and the main reason why we love her.

Some predictable artist like Leona for example won't socialize and do things GaGa does, I think she is being whole heartedly herself with the wig and without it.. I mean she treats even her lunatic jump-on-you type of fans with respect, she is varied in various situation which is why like her songs describe - the paparazzi (media) is intrigued with her

I'm all for quirkyness and originality in her style and performances. She has always been like that but then she has been surprisingly normal and friendly in her interviews which I found very endearing. To me this just screamed of playing up to the image the media has fabricated of her being a 'freak' and I've never seen her act like that in my life.

To be honest I hid behind a cushion for most of her interview. From the moment Jonathan introduced his guests in the green room I said "uh oh" to my housemate. She looked completely space cadet with her little tea cup and bizarre neck movements. She was incredibly odd throughout the interview and towards the end I felt bad for her as it was as though JR and the audience were mocking her slightly. Once she started giving more than one word answers it got better but I was still waiting for it to be over.

The performance...eesh. Well I've been raving about Gaga to my housemates for months and this is the first chance I've had to watch a performance of hers with them...and I was embarrassed. She was all over the place screaming and generally just sounding like Winehouse when she sings drunk. I really don't know what went wrong with her tonight - normally she performs really well, especially when I've seen her on T4 and MTV - I wonder if it really was "ginger tea" she was drinking or if it was "ginger ale".

Oh, well it is the UK so I don't know what is going on and from her previous interviews etc I can understand the difference but maybe Ryan knows what really happened? :o Who was overboard first, what was cut out and what wasn't etc. Perhaps she's bipolar LOL and the host prevokes her to go on highs. .?

Oh my god. That was her Joss Stone moment! It feels like she might've lost a fair bit of support after that.

The arrangement on Poker Face was good, but her frankly scary grunts and moans were just... not good. Perhaps if she'd wanted to experiment like that she could've done it on tour, but on national TV? It felt like she'd lost the plot. And what made her decide to play up to her freak persona like that in the interview I don't know. What the HELL were the weird neck movements all about?! It felt like she was acting shy too, in an utterly false sort of way, and on top of that she was being totally awkward with one-word answers. 'Are you popular elsewhere? Europe, Japan?' 'Yes'. Just... not a good look.

It almost felt as if she was told to answer like that. She didn't really give much away, seemed like she was being told what to say (or what not to say). The whole thing was embarrassing to watch at points. Odd anyway. The performance was awful. She ruined her own song.
most cringeworthy performance and interview I've ever seen...oh dear, she sounded like a deranged duck

i've just watched her performance back on youtube and it's actually quite good when you give it a second listen. i wish i could say the same about that interview though! and what was with the tea? was she trying to be british or something? if so it was a bit patronising..

and what was martin clunes' joke about gay people all about? it was so uncalled for..

The interview was so awkward. At one part John said something and the audience laughed, and she was about to say 'Why are you laughing?' I felt so bad for her I had to look away at some parts. The performances was great, but the screams were frightening. :D

The interview was bad - I don't think they 'got' each other. I liked the performance though.

It certainly won't harm her career.

I quite liked the screaming bits! :heehee:

No idea what happened last night, but that's not how she is usually.

At times it looked as if it had been heavily edited, especially the part where she told the story about fogging herself.

I think the mention of the 'rumours' about her being a well endowed man was uncalled for and you could see on her face she was uncomfortable.

I just felt like that questions he asked were stupid and he completely undermined her right from the beginning when he asked what people call her.

After she replied with 'GaGa', he made sure that before every question he asked her, he slipped in "Well, GaGa"... "Yes, Lady GaGa"..."But GaGa"..

And then when she asked him not to make fun of Donatella and he did it anyway, several times... She just looked so uncomfortable.

I'm sure Paul O'Grady will be much better.

Searched on Youtube for another one, don't worry I'm not lost in the world of the internet

BTW the interview was quite strange but I wouldn't say she was that bad. :)
