I have been thinking about whether the indie/alternative multichart should be widened into a altenative/rock chart. Of course everything that is covered at the moment should be included but should the chart be widened to include stuff like Slipknot or Linkin Park or Metallica etc.

It would definitely stop the confusion I always have when considering whether to include a song or not, when posting into the multichart topic

What I am concerned about is that the focus of the chart would be too diluted so that with the number of votes we usually get would we have a meaningful chart?

 

I can pull together roughly 10 charts if I go looking for some of them but if rock/punk/metal was included would the Top 20 get enough points.

 

Definately alternative/rock. Indie isn't really a proper genre anyway imo.
