'Chunk Of Change' EP is fantastic and one of the EP's of the year so far I reckon.

Boston’s Passion Pit is the brainchild of Michael Angelakos; A songwriter’s songwriter drawing from a variety of influences, from the classic pop of Randy Newman to the synth work of Giorgio Moroder. The Chunk of Change EP was originally put together as a (belated) Valentine’s Day present to Angelakos’ girlfriend which then prompted him to give it out to friends and fellow students at Emerson College. Angelakos wrote and recorded the entire album by himself and it only hints at what is to come from this extremely talented perfectionist. The production of the recording - brief, sporadic, and explosive - worked towards the development of Angelakos’ signature euphoric and blissfully melancholic sound.

01 I’ve Got Your Number

02 Smile Upon Me

03 Cuddle Fuddle

04 Live to Tell the Tale

05 Better Things

06 Sleepyhead

Released 16-02-09. Certainly in-keeping with the Valentine's theme with the release date then. More excited for their full length proper now tbh...

I really like Cuddle Fuddle from the EP. Nice track.

Heard 'Sleepyhead' on MTV2 and was impressed.

I like 'Sleepyhead', very very good

The rest? Meh tbh

Smile Upon Me is awesome, but it disturbs me how similar parts of the melody is to LCD Soundsystem- All My Friends
