3 for me, Since this a Girls Aloud song we can expect it to make the top 10 anyway. Plus it's really catchy so maybe top 3 perhaps

I dont see how anyone in their right mind could say this will miss the top 10, after their first 18 singles have all gone top 10 how would this miss? Their best known now than ever and with their appearance on X Factor 11 million people will see this either 1/2 days before the release.

 

Even if this wasnt one of their best songs (which it is, in their top 5 imo) it would still get top 10.

I'm sure I've read (somewhere on Digitalspy) that Leona Lewis is performing on X Factor the Saturday before both records are released, but Girls Aloud are provisionally booked to appear on Strictly Come Dancing that same week instead, so if true that will be interesting to see how they manage to pull that off (either as a 4 piece minus Cheryl or record their slot as a 5-piece before SCD is recorded).

 

Personally I think those of you who think this will fail to go Top 3, are wide of the mark because it is too early to get over your expectations of a standard uptempo GA electronic dance classic when the reality is their new single is a more retro soulful sounding track.

 

I reckon if this poll was done in 3-4 weeks time the feedback would be more positive.

If Strictly Come Dancing happens then there is no way this song isnt going top 3 (and most likely no.1), 11 million people on the saturday, 9 million on the sunday and released on the monday will ensure at least 40k of those people will either buy or download the track.

That´s probably right, the song going to be top 10, then the album debuts somewhere between # 10 and # 20 and fall like rock so that it´ll be flash back by this time next year and they can have the followup yearly album released, in usual GA style.

What makes you think 20 million people are going to buy or download the single that weekend, if the track gets 40k I eat my hat, but I doubt it as the physical single is practically dead that's if you can find the single anywhere, at a shove between 25-30k, and that's pushing the boat out a bit.

Are you definatley sure, i thought the lines dont close until the sunday? Either way the girls are deffo on X Factor and will probs pre-record SCD as both studio's are based in London.

Girls Aloud performed Call The Shots on X-Factor and it didn't get to #1. So did Shayne and he got to #6, Celine Dion also didn't do well either after she performed. It's not a guarantee by any means for huge success.

This is very odd. I hear the opening tune, and I'm thinking WOW I'm really going to like this song. But as I listen to the lyrics, and the monotonous melody goes on, I'm begin ning to say erm.. this is a bit sh**. innit? Perhaps I'll like it more on repeated listenings. I hope. It should make top 10 at least..

I'm going to say Top 10 provisionally, because I agree that while I love it (and I do now love it :heehee) it's very different for them and it won't be played in clubs like previous songs have done. It'll be hard for it to do much better than that I think. Hopefully Top 3 though.
