September 16, 200816 yr http://www.leonalewismusic.co.uk/index.php..._e4_exclusives/ The official Leona site - so its now between Girls Aloud and Dido and whoever is #1 the week before i imagine
September 16, 200816 yr I apologise, i overlooked SOTU and WTW but thats still FOUR singles out of their EIGHTEEN releases that have had big tv promotion.
September 16, 200816 yr Brilliant to know. Really Leona should have moved it forward a week but never mind.
September 16, 200816 yr I wonder how this works out for her X Factor appearance and i wonder why they moved it back in the first place ... jeese 'Forgive Me' will of took 6 months to be released by November 3rd - pretty shocking management for such a big star IMO.
September 16, 200816 yr But then they can re-issue the album nearer to Christmas and promote it on X-Factor a fortnight later when (i imagine) there's a bigger audience and more interest. It makes perfect sense.
September 16, 200816 yr But it all should of been thought out way before an announcement, video and radio release - it just seems they dont know what they're doing and then suddenly someone comes up with another master plan and everything is changed once again, baaaad. Anyway back to GA, with the Leona announcement and the fact that they're isnt massive competition from anyone else in previous release weeks or the one of the 27th then i think this could well make it to no.1 - the d/l and physical released together, an appearance on X Factor, (possibly) Strictly Come Dancing and Paul O'Grady should ensure that. There can be some competition we are not expecting at the moment. Who whould have thought two years ago that Kings of Leon would be a massive #1 :o
September 16, 200816 yr But I´m sayng EVERY one of their singles is premiered in a charity or contest show the week or in a week prior to it´s release, and that is a gimmick because it makes the song have an instant peak and then fall like a rock. By the way, many artists are capable of achieving hits only with their radio/music channels support. But it´s understandable that Girls Aloud and Sugababes have time to be in pretty much every UK TV show, since they don´t have an international career like more high profile artists who have to split their time between UK, America, Germany, France, Australia, etc... B) ehm...Actually Sugababes do have an international career. They release their albums all around Europe and they do promotion and some gigs in Germany, France, Eastern Europe, Belgium, Holland, sometimes Spain and Italy. Of course they are not as big as in the UK even if they have had their hits alla round Europe. About you now was big in Germany (they also got to be testimonial for Deichman shoes) and the album sold quite good. ;)
September 16, 200816 yr Yeh there could be a dark horse. I cant see them releasing leonas a week earlier anyway as radio hasnt started playing it yet have they? GA and leona wil both hopefully get no1's Edited September 16, 200816 yr by Robintime11
September 16, 200816 yr I have heard Leona's song a couple of times on radio, and i guess it will rapidly pick up this week
September 16, 200816 yr Usually love their songs but I am just not feeling the same sort of love for this song yet.
September 17, 200816 yr PARDON?! You mean TWO out of their EIGHTEEN single releases?! Lol, I can´t believe they had 18 hits already in such a short space of time. How did they even had time to record this lot?? Lol, this girls are definitely playback machines...
September 17, 200816 yr Lol, I can´t believe they had 18 hits already in such a short space of time. How did they even had time to record this lot?? Lol, this girls are definitely playback machines... Been together 6 years, thats 3 a year. So many isn't it!
September 17, 200816 yr Been together 6 years, thats 3 a year. So many isn't it! Yes it is... Considering most artists/bands take around 1 year to record an album, then release and work on it for another year and tour, which makes a gap of at least 2 and a half years in between albums, or maybe, 3, 4... But never mind, just sing over a prerecorded track should be much quicker then actually sit and make the whole music...
September 17, 200816 yr IMO Girls Aloud do it perfect. They're not Going too fast (like Rihanna lets say) but nor are they going too slow (like Leona for Example)

Well people buy it so they obviously don't seem to mind much do they! :P And they are a pop group...it's not very common for a pop band to have a 2 year gap in between albums is it? And no one is saying they're a band. If you don't like them don't listen to it  No one's saying they're musicians who are are amazingly creative and talented! The point of them is to deliver great pop songs consistantly, not wait years for each album and they do exactly what is required of them ^_^ Edited September 17, 200816 yr by Wingnut..
September 17, 200816 yr I don't think this is as good as their other stuff- don't really like it that much- hopefully it's a grower
