done ^_^

Unfortunately you need to renominate - you nominated losing semi-finalists in contests V, IX and X, and losing semi-finalists cannot be nominated :(

but why ??? I think that's quite unfair to them <_< they WERE in the contest so why can't they take part in a best of spinoff of the contest  just because they did not make the final doesn't make them less worthy to be in this compentition IMHO -_-

The more countries available to vote for then it's far more likely that we'll need to make use of tie-breaks - and it does also make quite a mockery of the contest in general if in the end it turns out that the best track didn't even qualify for the final - fair enough for finalists themselves to beat the winner, but it would really only devalue any success within the contest if it later turned out that the best track didn't make it. If anything, the fact that they didn't qualify would, by extension, rule them out of a 'best of' contest immediately  I also don't recall there being any non-qualifiers in the real Congratulations contest :P

You just know it would be between Margaret Berger and Sophie Ellis-Bextor if you let the SFs in too :heehee:

Mademoiselle E-B was the key exception to the rule I was thinking of here :heehee:

No, seriously she would be unlikely to get nominated let alone actually do well - unfortunately

all I'm gonna say is that i disagree -_-

and we should add a poll or sth before we are including sth new in this contest (like this spinoff or any other) and see what the majorty of the comunity thinks about it! IMO it should not be decided by one person (or few if you prefer) only :P

Correct. There weren't. But people were still allowed to nominate them.

Ha!!

Also there is a system in place for dealing with ties, so I see no problem whatsoever with there being call for tie-breaks.

Obviously it's too late as people have already nominated, but I really think semi-finalists should have been given a chance.

I don't think losing semi finalists should be eligible for nominations really. Unless we got a list of all the losing semi finalists and we could nominate up to three of them from the whole list, then two (so it's an even number still) could qualify as 'wildcard' entries. But then that could bring up the argument of "why should two songs that failed to qualify get a place in the semi finals - we'd rather have the two songs more songs that were actually in a BJSC final".
I can't find the time to do this :( i'm not going to be penalised for not voting or nominating (if i don't) am i? :(

you don't have to vote in every contest, just pick your favourite five songs from the 4 contests you took part in :D

Oh I am voting now :kink: And btw i agree that the losing SF-ists shouldn't be eligible for nominations as i have none of them :kink:

I have one losing semi-finalist, but if it wasn't deemed good enough for a place in the final, I'm not bothered about it not being eligible for this to be honest, if the songs are deemed by voters to be good enough in the first place, they'll get to the final on their own merit, rather than 'I need this this and this person to be in my semi so I can scrape through to the final'

Headhunted wouldn't probably have finished inside the top 15 had it scraped into the final, so I'm don't care that it can't be nominated...

Oh crap i forgot to vote, doing it now :kink:
Niminated 5 songs in every contest except the first one :(

Just so we all know, nobody HAS to vote in this, there aren't any penalties for not participating :P

And you MUST rank your nominations - I'm looking at you Pavel :smoke:
