April 26, 200916 yr Author I agree! It's definately one of the films I won't be forgetting in a hurry! When I have pennies I will DEFINATELY be buying this on DVD. It's so Emotional and Powerful and although it's such a sad film, you just want to watch it over and over again! One of my fave movies in recent years at LEAST. I HIGHLY recommend this too people and it will be one of those films that School's WILL show in lessons and stuff!
April 26, 200916 yr When I was doing some research on Holocaust films I came across this but never knew it would be as popular as it is on here. :o I shall try and watch this is in any way possible soon as. Edited April 26, 200916 yr by Jonny
May 10, 200916 yr This just starting airing in the US, and can I just say this was the most emotional movie I have seen in my entire life. Such a great film, I actually cried, the actors were flawless along with the storyline. The ending was dreadful to see but absolutely a perfect ending. The mother crying at the end really set me off, and Bruno really got me when he said "It's ok it's just a shower". Amazing, amazing film. same here :( I haven't read the book yet. And I have to admit the reason why I got this film is because I was intrigued by the cover  Then I read what it's all about and had to have it... It's definitely one of the best films I've ever seen. I agree, the actors were absolutely flawless  Terrible that innocent children had to suffer because of stupid adults and the situation hasn't changed much unfortunately :( Amazing what children would do for their friends (even if they don't completely understand what's going on around them)... Not many adults would do the same
May 10, 200916 yr I've been thinking of buying it since it went to £8 in HMV. Might just do it tomorrow!

May 10, 200916 yr I bought it! :o I saw it for £8 yesterday and didn't think TWICE about whether to buy it or not! Well WORTH the money! Snap! My son is studying this book in English at school and they've been watching the film. I bought it in HMV yesterday too! Fabulous. I guessed the ending but it was still so, so sad. Brilliantly done - touching without being over-sentimental - and because of it's 'straightforwardness' it really does make you bloody angry. Norma Edited May 10, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
