I dont see the big deal with entering well known artists, as long as the song itself wasnt huge and everywhere at the time and also well remembered, I dont really have a problem with it

yeh I totally agree with you! It's nice to see how completely unknown artists compare to those who are established and certainly gives greater credit if sed unknown artist can beat them

I don't think the Christina track is cheap enough yet. It's no different from Simon sending P!nk "So What" or TIP sending Lily Allen 'GWB (FYVM)' IMO -_- It's not even out in the UK yet and there hasn't been a video released for it yet (has there :unsure:) so I think it will be quite safe this month... But I can see what you mean in a way.

yeah that Xtina song is beyond cheap, I hate entries like this as the essence of this contest should be about introducing people to new songs that you love and think more people should hear, not merely to make a good name for your country by sending guaranteed points winners...

 

I'd be surprised if anyone on Buzzjack is yet to hear this new Christina single :o

^^But Nick has had so many flops (Bless him) and tbh if i was in his position i'd probably go all cheap and send the cheapest entry possible :teresa:

Nick just needs a killer song, look around Buzzjack for ideas, look at various countries charts to find new songs, hunt MySpace/youtube for something good

 

there are trillions of amazing songs that none of us have heard waiting to be found, and FSR Rontvia fully rewards originality if the song is good enough :wub:

Well, it is quite accurate in defining the split between the two eras of the BJSC :heehee:

 

And it's VERY easy to find a killer song that can get you out of the bottom five - although I speak from bias here as I've never been in the bottom five (:kink:), I did manage to find one of my brightest hopes in this contest, Jasmine, by googling several obvious killer terms together :kink:

2) look on a MySpace of a high profile act that you like (e.g. Avril Lavigne for Nick), look at some of the bands that 'Avril' has added as friends, chances are you'll find something that you like if you devote half an hour to searching for a great song

The day I find myself in the bottom five/semi-final is the day I'll have to give up on trying to overtake Mdice, and I don't plan to do that anytime soon...at least not until I've won :smoke:

FSR Rontvia go back to basics with Pixie promotional tour announced

 

for the first time since Untouched in BJSC6, Pixie has announced that she will be going on a tour of the Buzzjack World to promote her entry Boys & Girls, FSR Rontvia's 11th entry to the Buzzjack Song Contest. The young British talent says that the countries she will be visiting are the countries that she would most like to take a holiday. She will be visiting two countries each day from the same continent, giving her enough time to travel. She would like to apologise to the 20 odd countries she will not have time to visit stating 'it's just not feasible unfortunately'
