They were miles better than the boys, even as a 11 year old (loving acts like Atomic Kitten) i could tell that.

i instintly loved that song and bought their album, i played it non stop for around 3 months

Brilliant. They dont look anything as nice as they do now though obviosuly.

I was supporting the boys until I heard that single and I thought it was brilliant, but for some strange reason I didn't buy anything of theirs until Life Got Cold. I didn't end up buying any One True Voice stuff haha

I thought it was a fairly good song at the time, and that they were infinitely better than that True Voice band or whoever they were.

 

It was 'No Good Advice' that really caught my attention though, that to this day remains my favourite of theirs and most likely won't ever be beaten.

I bought the tape when it was released. :)

I always thought the girls were better and i was supporting nadine as i knew her from the irish version of pop idol,but then when the osngs were performed i just knew the girls would walk it

i was totally excited and wanted to know who they are :D

I thought they'd be a quick Flash in the Pan (Like OTV were) TBH!

I remember first hearing SOTU and literally thought i was gonna burst with excitement. I was gonna surport them i knew cos the 5 i wanted to get into the band were the 5 that got in and ironically the 5 that didn't get into One True Voice (and made up Phixx) were my favourite boys. I couldn't stand OTV

I knew it was music magic as soon as I heard it! The start of a long and wonderful musical journey :wub:

I thought they were the coolest girl band on earth, for trying out drum & bass influences as their lead single. Still think its one of the top3 singles, really well executed.

I preferred Shakespeare's Way With Words tbh LOL, i think i actually bought the CDS :kink:

But now looking back at it, SOTU FTW :wub:

clearly better than the boys but as rough as....... cheryl inparticualr - amazing how much they have changed over the years eh?

I supported the boys, I didn't really get into Girls Aloud until thier 2nd album :o

 

 

Hmm what did I think? Oooh I remember :o I HATED it :heehee: I really thought it was such a bad song, probably just because it was different and aged 14 or whatever I was I wasn't really that into music. I think I also secretly wanted the boys to win because I fancied them :(

 

I didn't take proper notice of them until 'The Show' (although I did like their previous songs) and I'd say I wasn't a true fan until 'Tangled Up' tbh :o

I saw the video first and the first thing I thought was

 

"OMG The Spice Girls! On The Box! They Must Be Back Together" and of course I was let down when it wasn't :lol:

 

but I heard the song and thought

 

"I Want The Single"

however when I heard there next 2 singles "No Good Advice" and "Life Got Cold" I wasn't really interested which why I still don't own their debut album
