When is this going to be released then, does anyone know yet? I hope it doesn't clash with CIN, as that is just as much a worthy cause also.

October 27th so about 3 weeks before CIN

Does anybody know who's doing this years Children In Need single?

The Help For Heroes (a superb Charity cause IMHO - even if the single will be musically vile) is released 2 weeks before Rememberence Sunday on October 27th.

Children In Need takes place on Friday 14th November, so presumably the single would be released on the Monday beforehand. No news as yet as to the artist involved, but with Rachel Stevens in SCD - like Emma Bunton two years earlier (who's S Club 7 performed two former CIN singles - Never Have A Dream Come True & Have You Ever), then she seems to be an obvious candidate.

Thanks spiker and thisispop for your replies, I think Rachel would be a good choice actually for CIN, I still love NHADCT.

Clip of heavily rumoured CIN 2008 single, well it is from a forthcoming BBC show and features a legendary family duo that is not Same Difference:

(Short One minute clip)

Please, please, please let it be true especially as you can guarantee it will sound 1000 times better than the musical excrement of the X Factor finalists cover of Mariah Carey's Hero.

I love the X-Factor but it feels as if its a Talent TV show overload at the moment!!...New releases from Will Young, Leona Lewis, Leon Jackson, Girls Aloud, Andrew Johnston, Jordin Sparks, Same Differnce, Rhydian etc, And now the prospect of two X-Factor singles this year aswell as the duet of 'Walking In The Air' from the Britians Got Talent finalists Andrew Johnston and Fariah

'Hero' is an awful song and this is nothing more than X Factor propaganda as usual. I thought Simon would have learned from the last time he did an ensemble single when the worst batch of Pop Idol wannabes ever murdered 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)'?
If it's one thing I have learnt from reading Simon Cowells Auto-Biog.

It's him having stats under his name.

Obviously the money doesn't interest him, he's got enough.

But him having another x amount of sales under his name. And possibly another Number 1.

It's what he wants, which is fair enough, who wouldn't want it.

But I think him having the Number One on his tally chart, means more to him, than it actually getting to Number 1 if that makes sense.

Having also read his autobiography, I agree completely with this.

Wasn't it supposed to be The Saturdays?

According to rumours but they have since denied it
