Although Pink rose to prominence as an R&B singer in the classic `90s LaFace mold, a front displayed on her debut CAN'T TAKE ME HOME, it was when she took control of her own image in 2001 that she truly became an icon. While the Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) composed hit "Get This Party Started" strayed not all that far from her initial dance-pop path, the remainder of M!SSUNDAZTOOD revealed an artist schooled in the punk tradition. Further recordings wandered down multiple paths, cementing Pink's reputation as a genre-bending pop songstress. - HMV

Chart Run: 3 [1 wk]

Release date: 29-9-2008

Availability: in stock

Number of Discs: 1

Catalogue Number: RKIDSCD52

Label: BIGBROTHER

Oasis return with the first single from their seventh studio album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’. ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’, is regarded by principal song-writer Noel Gallagher as one of the band’s most instant songs. The B-side to the single is the sought after Chemical Brothers remix of ‘Falling Down’, another song from ‘Dig Out Your Soul’. The Chemical Brothers remix is a psychedelic, acid-tinged take of the track which has been climbing club and radio charts after Big Brother sent it to a handful of DJ’s around the world. - HMV

Very happy to hear Oasis with new material, but it is very surprising to see them peak at #3 instead of #1,

Also, the drummer on this record is the son of Ringo Starr (or is it the son of John Bohman of Led Zeppelin?)

aaaaaaand cheers Matt :cheer: :yahoo:

You're welcome :) Might as well do something now that i'm a chart mod :D

It's Zak Starkey, son of Ringo.

To be fair Oasis are a physical sales act. I bet their single in physicals outsold P!nk by a huge margin, and I would not mind betting that Oasis' single grossed more £ sales than P!nk, which is the way I think the charts should be measured like all the Film charts are.

YAY!!!! I'm so happy Sugas beated Boyzone bland single... and still being on downloads alone! :cheer: :yahoo:

The CD will be released only tomorrow! Go and buy it!!!

anyway I'm glad Pink is #1, I love So What.... I'd love to see Girls #1 next week tho. but I'll be happy with top3!

Edited by thematrix

I have to agree, its Pink's worst single to date, does nothing for me.
