I was surprised, because until tonight I thought Bad Lashes had much more potential than Girlband.

 

But on both occasions tonight, Girlband simply sang better than Bad Lashes. The rendition of Wonderwall was AWFUL, the lead girl was flat to begin with, and screechy at the end.

Having said that, Daniel, Scott and Rachel all gave worse performances tonight.

 

 

FINAL RANKING

 

01. Diana - her voice needs a bit more fine tuning, but there's something very simple and appealing about her.

02. Ruth - I think the public will get bored of the Spanish eventually, but her voice is strong enough to see her through.

03. Alexandra - it just felt like she could have put in just a tad bit more energy.

04. Eoghan - nowhere near as bad as the general opinion here seems to put him.

05. Austin - Indie Austin must STAY.

06. Laura - she was a bit too overdramatic, especially at the end where she was almost bellowing.

07. JLS - I think they could do better, have high hopes for them.

08. Girlband - deserved to stay over Bad Lashes.

A band won't go out next week, I reckon 1 act from each category will go out in the first 3 or 4 weeks, so we could be looking at Scott or Daniel if they have flop performances.

 

I be surprised if Cheryl's category will still have all 3 girls in the final, as the best acts are in her category.

Are the Saturdays really that popular with the public? I doubt more than a 1/3 of people out there have EVER heard of them.

Girlband are a generic, boring (and really badly styled) girlband... who make even The Saturdays seem appealing.

 

Bad Lashes at least had some balls and looked sassier. Their Wonderwall final song started awfully.... but by the end, they were clearly the better of the 2 girl groups, and they were obviously in with more of a chance of some sort of a career.

 

Girlband are truly, truly awful.

Anyone else think Austin is trying to look like Dan from the Feeling :heehee:

I'm with Dermot on the sympathy vote thing... Daniel is, at best, a competent singer you'd find in any workingman's club across the country belting out old Lionel Richie songs.... but to have gotten onto the show purely because his missus died.... oh please.... can't someone put this dated old crooner out of his misery? XFactor? He doesn't even come close to having the Z-factor.

Simple - Dannii Minogue couldn't sing live (or in tune) if her life depended on it (believe me, I've seen her 'live' - and witnessed her get boo-ed off stage - twice).

Your ears must be deformed because she can sing live, and very well too. You only need to youtube the video of her doing All I Wanna Do at G-A-Y's last night this year to see that, and there are plenty of other examples too.

 

I guess with Dannii having a more successful sister and all, though, it's very easy for the close-minded to hop onto the hater bandwagon.

I was quite suprised Dannii didnt perform Touch Me Like That last year really. Imagine how much better it could have done chart wise.
