Well that was unfair. The correct result would have been a Eoghan/Rachel botom 2 based on tonight.

 

Anyway, what made that harder was that like Cheryl said, BOTH Girlband and Ruth gave their best performances so far. Girlband certainly sang better than Girls Aloud did earlier, and the the last half of Purple Rain was SPELL-BINDING.

THAT is a direction I hope Ruth is able to explore further, because it's going to do her NO good whatsoever if she's put into direct competition with Laura and Alexandra like she was tonight with the generic ballad. Dannii NEEDS to ensure Ruth is given unique material.

I just had this awful feeling Ruth would be bottom.....but thankfully she wasn't. :D

 

I'm beginning to think the contestants should just pick songs by themselves because most song choices by the contestants themselves have been better than thier previous one picked with the judges imput

Her performance was just amazing, her personal best and probably the best of the entire competition so far.

 

Girlband also had their best performance and would have deserved to stay against several other acts.
