It all started because 7digital and Play.com have the release as 20th October. Plus the fact it's now on Irish iTunes early (#2 :D) but I still think it won't be on UK until 3rd Nov.

I hope it wont, just for GA's competition sake. They deserve no.1 this week, even if its just to make up for amazing tracks such as 'Something Kinda Oooh', 'Biology' and 'Call The Shots' missing out!!

Even if Leona is added, she's had no promo like GA have and they are higher in radio airplay so I don't think you have to worry. :)

Why are people so adamant that Leona will do well just on d/l. I dont think she has much of a chance until she gets X Factor in the bag, remember all her tracks have had big promo from either that show or Comic Relief. I dont think people (exept the die hard fans) know that its released to iTunes, 7digial etc tomorrow.

 

It's not being released tomorrow, been removed from the HMV download store and iTunes is saying November 3rd. And to be fair to Bleeding Love it was selling enough 5 weeks down the line to have outsold the #1 in 40 of the 43 previous non-Bleeding Love weeks (only the peak week of Umbrella, 500 miles and Grace Kelly would have beaten Bleeding Love's 5th week).

 

It's sales longevity went far beyond anything one promo appearance could provide. She may be good live, but not that good. The song sold so well so quickly because it was brilliant modern pop, as shown the world over where it went to #1 without a piggyback from a big promo appearance.

 

As for Forgive Me - I'm really unsure how well it'll do as it's been "available" for 7 months now and all the "hardcore" fans will have it. And with her being away so much unless she has a blitz of TV appearances before the release I don't think the buzz will be there.

I don't see why everyone is obsessing over Leona.

 

She hasn't had alot of promo over here, and she's not performing on the X Factor for a good while yet. I think Girls Aloud could have #1 with this track...

I just hope whenever Leona is released to iTunes she doesn't keep Britney off the top spot when Womanizer's released.
