October 21, 200817 yr WAYHEY!!!!!!!!!! For Girls Aloud! Blimey they're practically double Pink! The sales are massive as well! Its certainly gonna be one of the biggest single. I'm disapointed for Sugababes though, #8 is really low, I'm actually in shock But i am happy The Saturdays look set to spend a 2nd week in the top 10! How great is that! October 21, 200817 yr Author I presume there are no signs of Last Shadow Puppets yet? Or Bloc Party? Then again I'm not suprised about Bloc as they're pulling out all the stops for their album anyway. No Nicky
October 21, 200817 yr Author Girls Aloud sales a bit frontloaded for Monday, downloads are catering for most of the sales now its practically 90% downloads, I reckon around 65k
October 21, 200817 yr Author How much has Girls dropped this week please Martin :D errr... I think its been mentioned
October 21, 200817 yr Girls Aloud could possibly have the biggest first week sales of the year and beat Duffy's 72,000..... If not then they should get the second highest week sales - AMAZING
October 21, 200817 yr How much has Girls dropped this week please Martin :D Already been asked - down 6
October 21, 200817 yr So AC/DC's chart-topping span is now 28 years, a remarkable achievement :D, who would have thought it after "Stiff Upper Lip" was only a fanbase album.
October 21, 200817 yr Already been asked - down 6  That doesnt surprise me though, absolutely awful song. The album charting does surprise me though. Some good songs on there.
October 21, 200817 yr Great sales for GA ...it's a great track :D Surprised at Sugababes only getting #8 :(
October 21, 200817 yr well done to GA and i think its more than well deserved, speaking as someone who isn't a GA fan this is one of their best songs along with "call the shots" and both of these songs success make perfect to sense to me (its all about the wider public with these two). i like the mature, retro 60s feel of the song with a great feel good sing along chorus, even the key change works cause its in keeping with the retro feel. this is a classy song. with GA the credit has to always go to Xenomania cause it wouldn't matter who sung this track cause it would have done well. the sales were always going to be high cause you also have the cheryl factor boosting it, she is very popular amongst the x-factor viewers and is coming across as the best judge. interesting to follow leon's progress aka decline and to compare him past x-factor male acts. so far so bad...selling 32k for the single is dire considering how much his previous single sold (has the x-factor audience abandoned him already?). simon cowell must be worried that this cash cow isn't going to deliver no matter how much he milks it. time will tell, how much did ray quinn and shayne ward sell with their album in the first week and what were their albums chart runs?
October 21, 200817 yr Hahahhahahaha lol at Sugababes album!!! Not even Top 5!!!! After a #1 airplay hit and promoting their arses off... lol. what a flop
October 21, 200817 yr Author Hahahhahahaha lol at Sugababes album!!! Not even Top 5!!!! After a #1 airplay hit and promoting their arses off... lol. what a flop for crying out loud stop it, its already been done.
October 21, 200817 yr I see. I think it's great that they're beating Leon!! :P Given their fanbase its hardly a surpise they've sold over 200million records worldwide and Back in Black is the second biggest selling album of all time selling 44 million almost half of that in the US.
October 21, 200817 yr will leon be the first x factor winnwer not to get number 1 with his debut album, steve brookstein did if i remember correctly?? Possibly then again i don't recall any other XF contestants having the same sort of competition, also Brookstein's was timely released for the mother's day market.
October 21, 200817 yr Im so glad to see man in the mirrow by michael jackson back in the charts! One of my fav songs by him!
October 21, 200817 yr Given their fanbase its hardly a surpise they've sold over 200million records worldwide and Back in Black is the second biggest selling album of all time selling 44 million almost half of that in the US. But in recent times they've only been a fanbase act here in the UK. It'll be interesting to see where the album drops to in the second week.
October 21, 200817 yr Im so glad to see man in the mirrow by michael jackson back in the charts! One of my fav songs by him! Made number 21 I think, when it was released from the "Bad" album. I think he was on a world tour at the time, so couldn't promote it at the same time. It made number two on the old Network Chart when Glenn Medeiros was number one. I used to have the chart on an old tape, Everything But the Girl were in there also. Edited October 21, 200817 yr by Marcus
