What a shambles of a show, :heehee: it was great to watch it all degenerate as it went on, blooper followed blooper and you couldn't have got a better show if Peter Kay had scripted it all himself. Loius Walsh shedding the crocodile tears for the fat serial impregnator Daniel. The door jamming on Daniel and Ruth, probably sobbing and miming behind it and the camera cutting to Austin miming Daniels bit badly, what a cringeworthy classic.:rofl:

 

What was he supposed to do? He didn't exactly plan on singing/miming that bit now did he? :rolleyes:

My rankings of this weeks performances -

 

1.Rachel - finally showing why shes in the top 10! she was excellent, 10/10 for me!

2.Alexandra - her best yet, and 3rd week in a row she is brilliant. 10/10

3.Ruth - she has really stepped up her game, not as good as Purple Rain but still brilliant 9/10

4.Diana - her worst performance so far for me but still its not her comfort zone and she was still excellent 8/10

5.Austin - 3rd week in a row he's been really good but theres still something missing that he seemed to have in Bootcamp, hopefully he will finally shine next week! 7.5/10

6.Laura - her worst so far imo, yes she sang great but for some strange reason it just didn't excite me that much, plus she looked stupid on the rug thing and for the 3rd week they have styled her horribly. still she would probz be in my top 3 overall. 7/10

7.JLS - again for the 3rd week very good but with me its the same as Austin I loved them in bootcamp and expected so much more in the finals, they need to do a huge ballad and pull it off like they did with 'No Air' at the judges houses. 7/10

8.Scott - he was ok this week, not quite as good as last week I don't think though, I can see why he was in the bottom 2 as he is dull as dishwater imo, 5.5/10

9.Dan - for the first time he isn't my lowest, although he almost is, he looked uncomfortable and he hardly knew the words, he just doesn't belong there he hasn't got one shed of star quality. 2.5/10

10.Eoghan - first 2 weeks he's been average, I don't think theres anything special about him but in general he's not the worst, but I seriously thought he was horrendous last night, utterly dire. 1/10 and thats been genourous.

 

bottom 2 -

Scott - even this wasn't anything special and he rather annoyed me in this performance, still slightly better than the earlier one 6/10

Dan - his best performance but that isn't saying much, but I can't deal with his constant sob story, but this still bored me in general 4.5/10

 

I think overall Dan should have went but we all know he will be gone shortly thankfully, Scott was annoying.

 

I'm just hoping Eoghan won't go on for ages I don't get the appeal, I don't even think hes cute. but its clear he is going to be at least top 5. but he really shouldn't be beating the actual talent there, anyways rant over!

She's not the first to sing in bare feet - Sandie Shaw did and she had a great career.

 

That's because she was unique and had talent, Diana is faking uniqueness imo and doesn't convince me at all.

Rachel's performance last night gave me goosebumps - easily the performance of the series so far...and maybe even one of the best-ever XFactor performances. Incredible.

Tbh I don't really rate Rachel. There's hundreds of singers like her, and tbh I don't think she's even that good. And plus like I've already mentioned, her attitude is really off putting.

Well no, most artists don't do much promo after the third single has flopped. But I don't see why she wouldn't have done X Factor otherwise? She did Paul O'Grady and Sunday Night Project which are both low profile shows, if anything X Factor or Strictly are the shows I would most expect Mariah to appear on - the ones with huge audiences. I'm not quite sure why she's even appearing on the show, she doesn't have a single scheduled and I don't think album is being re-released yet. :thinking:

"I Stay In Love" is being released internationally, I think. So yeah, it's her new single over here.

I just wasn't sure if it was being released here as it's not on the release schedule and the other single was digital only and missed the top 75. -_- I'm excited for her appearance on the show but I can't see it helping the era much, I think it will have a similar effect to Celine's performance last year and push it to the edge of the top 40 as this is only two weeks away and the video isn't out yet and radio hasn't picked it up at all.
