November 3, 200816 yr OMG you stole my idea for BJSC13, Aaron :kink: Captain And The Hourglass  Shine  Failure  Oops sorry. On 'Shine' I think she occasionally sounds like Diana Vickers. (from X Factor) Failure is beautiful, my favourite Laura Marling song alongside New Romantic  Hmm...dilemma. Ghosts or Failure? Both seem popular.
November 3, 200816 yr Iraaaaa  she has some fantastic songs aside from 7th Wonder, she's had a massive career in Malta as a pop/rock singer, I've ordered her new album today but if there is nothing that good on there, I have a fantastic single of hers from a couple of years ago which would be good as for Ola, I might leave him for the male artist spin off, but I've also ordered his current album so we'll see if there are any fantastic songs on there :D but I'll be using one of these two artists, as I've wanted to use them for a while now
November 3, 200816 yr Ghosts is actually love :o I was considering sending it myself to the last contest, but then someone told me I was almost certain to finish top ten with Janelle :kink:
November 3, 200816 yr Ghosts is actually love :o I was considering sending it myself to the last contest, but then someone told me I was almost certain to finish top ten with Janelle :kink: I thought you had the ability to finish top ten with anything  well clearly top ten or 19th is your destiny :heehee: I thought you were considering The Sounds and Jasmine anyway, Janelle popped out of nowhere at the last minute...the other two songs were better :P La Roux is your best choice for a while...well since Camille anyway (such a long time ago!)
November 3, 200816 yr FSR Rontvia are reserving... Ira Losco and Ola I am withdrawing my reservation of Ola (none of his songs scream 'winner' to me) so only have Ira Losco reserved at the moment now... if I find anything better in due course, I shall add to my reserve list, seeing as I have another few weeks yet :heehee:
November 3, 200816 yr Sorry to sound like a broken record, but again, why is this thread closing on the 20th? Surely this should stay open while the Official Confirmation thread is open, as everybody will be at different stages of their selections at different times. If my memory serves me correctly the Artist Confirmation thread stayed open last month even when the Official thread had opened.
November 4, 200816 yr thinking about it, I'm stumped for an entry this month actually  the last time this happened, I sent Thermostatic and came 19th  then again I thought Headhunted was a potential winner and it missed the final! I don't think I'll send Ira now actually for fear of getting typecast...FSR Rontvia and a few other countres (you know who you are :P) are sending an endless stream of solo female artists singing pop songs all the time so, I'm in a good enough position to take a risk this month, so I tink I will pick something completely different to show that I'm at least making an effort to move the contest away from solo pop female domination :heehee: although the recent contests have had very high quality songs, I did used to enjoy the variety of the first few contests, so I'm definitely going to make a proactive effort to bring more variety back to FSR Rontvia's entries :D to sum up, I now have no artists confirmed
November 4, 200816 yr ok, to reveal FSR Rontvia's direction change, we are now reserving: -Vincent -ATB -Heather Nova
November 4, 200816 yr so, I'm in a good enough position to take a risk this month, so I tink I will pick something completely different to show that I'm at least making an effort to move the contest away from solo pop female domination :heehee: although the recent contests have had very high quality songs, I did used to enjoy the variety of the first few contests, so I'm definitely going to make a proactive effort to bring more variety back to FSR Rontvia's entries :D to sum up, I now have no artists confirmed Totally agree which is why I'm almost certainly sending a solo female to BJSC XII  Nah I think it's great to have some variety which the contest has been lacking of late so I look forward to hearing what you come up with ^_^

(anyone else think his new single is shamefully not that bad? :kink:) if I'm honest, I was aiming sky high for Pixie, I hoped for top 5 and she got top 5...the aim was to get FSR Rontvia noticed again after missing the final of BJSCX...for this contest my main aim is to send something a bit different to what I usually send, so if I pick a female it won't be a pop or r&b song, or else I'll pick a male, I was thinking of going with Ira Losco but she would have been far too safe and I wouldn't have particularly cared if she'd done well or badly, much like when Trashlexis swapped from Helena generic album track No.5 to Camille, a much riskier but ulitmately far more rewarding choice, because he genuinely cared about the Camille song... and if I come last in the semi-final with whatever I pick then so be it :heehee:
November 4, 200816 yr I think I will be adding more variety with my female-fronted metal/symphonic entries, even though they probably will all flop
November 4, 200816 yr I think I will be adding more variety with my female-fronted metal/symphonic entries, even though they probably will all flop great stuff, the more people we can get sending something different, the less chance they all have of flopping :cheer:

November 4, 200816 yr I don't know, I think Kopecka's top ten fetish tends to provoke quite a bit of conversation in each final thread :kink:
