British boyband Take That will take to the stage on Sunday, Feb. 16 and perform their number one single "Greatest Day", opener of Sean Baker's 'Anora', BAFTA has confirmed. British boyband Take That and Wicked‘s Jeff Goldblum are set to perform live at this year’s BAFTA Film Awards.

Take That, comprising of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, will take to the stage on Sunday, Feb. 16 and perform their number one single “Greatest Day”, which famously opened Sean Baker’s nominated hit Anora.

Goldblum, meanwhile, star of Wicked, will perform on the piano during the In Memoriam section of the ceremony. What audiences might not know about the Hollywood icon is that when not acting, Goldblum has a dedicated following of his jazz band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Their upcoming album, “Still Blooming,” is scheduled to be released on Apr. 25.

Vatican drama Conclave, based on the novel by Robert Harris, leads the way with 12 BAFTA nominations — ahead of Emilia Pérez‘s 11 and The Brutalist‘s nine.

It is the most genre-diverse year ever for the BAFTA Film Awards as horror movies Heretic and The Substance, musical (or music-inspired) films such as Wicked and A Complete Unknown, historical epics like Steve McQueen’s Blitz and big-budget action fare like Dune: Part Two and Gladiator II all earned nominations. You can read the full list of nominations for this year’s BAFTA Film Award

The 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards, hosted by David Tennant, will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London.

The awards will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer in the U.K., and stream on BritBox International in North America. It will be available on demand on BritBox in the Nordics and Australia, and on a number of other broadcasters internationally.

Take That are set to headline the F1 75 Live event.

The 'Shine' hitmakers have been lined up to perform at the sport's 2025 season launch at London's O2 Arena next Tuesday (18.02.25), where all ten racing teams will be unveiling their new drivers and car liveries in front of a packed crowd in a special event to celebrate the championship's 75th anniversary year.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Formula 1 fans are in for a massive treat at the 02.

"Not only will they be seeing the cars and drivers up close, but Take That will be playing."

The insider added: "There are some other big-name stars booked, too.

"It is the first time in Formula 1 history that they've put on an event like this and it's all to celebrate 75 years of the sport.

"The organisers think Take That will really lift the event."

It promises to be a busy few days for the 'Rule the World' group - consisting of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - as they are also set to perform at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday (16.02.25).

Back for good has aged very well and doesn't sound like it's 30 years old. It was a huge song for them and I do like it but also think they have a few others that are better.

Update

Sept 2025, London, UK

Hi everyone,

How are you? How are you doing?

We’re excited to say we’ve been spending some time together these last few days, hanging out, checking in on each other, talking about the band a lot, families, good movies to watch, books to read, etc, etc. Playing songs we have been working on and writing, listening to artists new and old. We have been enjoying basically catching up on life, where we are going, what we are doing, reflecting, dreaming.

What next?

We have talked a lot about touring and how much we enjoyed This Life on tour, making the record, the places we visited far and wide. It really was special and we are so grateful to everyone who tuned in, came along and made that experience so special.

Have we made any big decisions this week? Yes. Do we have a plan? Yes. Do we know what we are doing?! Most of the time…

Lots to come, lots to do, lots of love

See you out there

Take That

Good news for Take That fans... Gary Barlow has confirmed Take That will share a series of major band announcements before the end of the year.😱😱😱"

The musician shared an update on social media following the conclusion of the group's live reboot of their Circus Live tour.

The current lineup of Gary, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen completed a run of stadium dates across the UK earlier this summer. 👏

Gary confirmed the band are putting the finishing touches to their upcoming tenth studio album following the release of their single Sweet July.🤩

"It's poppy it's fresh it feels really good," he said while speaking about the new record.✨

"Always tricky to make albums but I feel like at the eleventh hour it's really come together and I'm very excited about the music I really am."

He reassured European supporters that new live dates are being arranged so they no longer have to travel to the UK to see the group perform.

"We are going to be hitting parts of Europe at the end of August with a few band announcements and we're very excited and that obviously heads in to next year," Gary said.🥳"

Alongside group plans, Gary shared he intends to bring back his solo stage show A Different Stage in 2027.😳

He also teased a brand new venture alongside an unnamed friend that will alter his travel schedule for the year ahead if successful.👀

Take That named as star performers at William’s Earthshot Prize ceremony

Take That have been named as performers at the Prince of Wales’ Earthshot Prize awards ceremony being held in Mumbai.

The band, with a string of hits to their name, will perform for the first time in India when they take to the stage for the event on November 17 alongside a host of Indian stars.

The group said: “We’ve been lucky enough to perform in some incredible places around the world over the past 35 years, but India is somewhere we’ve always dreamed of bringing our music.

“To be performing here for the very first time, after all these years, and alongside the extraordinary people creating a better future for our planet, is really special.

“As we’ve seen the world over, music has an exquisite way of bringing people together, and we can’t wait to share that magic with the Earthshot Prize and the world from Mumbai. We’re ready for a night we’ll never forget.”

The celebratory gala in Mumbai, India’s financial capital, will feature Hollywood actor Rami Malek, Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor, and Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley.

Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform for the 5,000 guests, and the ceremony will be hosted by filmmaker and presenter of The Traitors India, Karan Johar.

Take That’s performance will come a few days ahead of the release of their latest album, Dreamers, three years after Take That soared to the top of the charts with 2023’s This Life.

Formed in 1989 in Manchester, Take That were originally made up of Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. The boyband enjoyed five years of success with tracks such as Pray, Relight My Fire and Back For Good, but they split in 1996 a year after Williams left. The group reformed in 2006 and have continued to perform and release music, now as a trio comprising Barlow, Donald and Owen.

Barlow said on Instagram recently that Dreamers had been “two years in the making”, adding: “It’s been a good one. No rush. Lots of quality writing time.”

The Prince founded the environmental prize to recognise and scale up ideas to help repair the planet, with five winning finalists each awarded £1 million each year to develop their ideas. He has managed to attract a host of famous names to the cause, from Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett to broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough and former prime minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern.

Renowned Indian composer and music producer Shashwat Sachdev will also bring his distinctive cinematic sound for the award show’s finale. His credits include the Indian blockbuster Dhurandhar and its 2026 sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and he has collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the theme for the BBC show Virdee. He said: “I’m very grateful to begin this association with the Earthshot Prize. So much of my music comes from the land I belong to and the traditions that have been passed down to me.

“For me, caring for that land is also a way of honouring what I’ve been given. To share my music in celebration of people working to protect our planet feels deeply meaningful.”
