Next single from Chasing Lights.

During their performance last night at Perez's Liverpool gig that it was to be the next single from the album.

 

Also I think it's Vanessa that has said the next single will be out in January.

 

Good choice? I think so, but I'd have preffered Why Me Why Now, and during the final week of December. Still, this is fine.

Good idea for another thread for the single, hopefully the album thread wont past 1,000 posts now. Chasing Lights part 3 will be ridicolous.

 

Anyway, fantastic choice of single. Definatly the best choice in my opinion.

I think 'Work' would be a perfect last single off the album! :w00t:

Work or Chasing Lights should have been the single. I do not see what the hype is over this song - at all!!! - it won;t sell the album like Work would have and after a disappointing chart position i think the record company are daft imo.

Issues is the one that's currently getting the most downloads on iTunes that's an album track. So it's only doing the sensible thing, surely?

'Issues' is a weak ballad with bad lyrics, if they wanted a ballad they should have gone with 'Fall' perhaps.

I didn't know that about Issues johnjo! What's nice about this album is that there's not that ONE song which HAS to be released or the album won't sell - I would have picked Chasing Lights last week of December, but I still think this will work. I hope it gets a better produced single mix, maybe a bit slower, as the bridges when they are singing over one another can get a bit messy. But it's a wonderful song. I hope they release 'Work' in about March/April - then they will have made fantastic single choices..

They've performed it quite a bit, so surely it's obvious it would be the most downloaded by default?

I personally hope they go with Work as the 4th single, assuming Issues doesnt bomb of course. Either that or Set Me Off.

I'd like to think even if Issues wasn't a hit they have done enough to get a fourth single, and they'd surely go with something more similar to the hits.. so I hope Work gets a release regardless!

'Why Me, Why Now' is very dated...

'Fall' is amazement and probably one of my favourite tracks to be honest, but its not commercial enough to be a single I don't think.

 

'Issues', 'Work', 'Keep Her' and 'Set Me Off' would all make fantastic singles.

Heh I agree Why Me, Why Now isn't the right single, Fall is wonderful, but would make a good FIFTH single for me!

I'm not sure that even really illustrated what I was trying to say!

I woudnt partically like Fall or Why Me Why Now to be singles really, there is much better on the album. Keep Her is another one i woudnt mind to be a single.

I'm happy with 'Issues' being released. Nice change of pace and hopefully they follow it up with 'Work'.

i think they ought to create a new song after a third release for the album. by next march a fourth release will be 'old hat' and wont sell well. their best chance of survival is to get some good quality tunes out early in the new year...
