^ That pretty much explains exactly how I feel about Diana/Eoghan.

It really is a shame Ruth and Alexandra aren't getting the same amount of praise when they clearly both have more talent than Diana, Eoghan and JLS.

I agree Jack. The thing is Ruth and Alex are not only the most talented but also by far the most lovely. They both have bubbly, fun personalities and could barely be any more grounded. I just DON'T GET why they aren't in line for a win. :(

Random pic I found on DS. I think I can feel a little bit of sick in my throat...

i do partly agree tbh... i mean, i dont think it's fair that ruth and alex are just sort of IGNORED when they have clear amazing talent
It would be great if one of them could win. I know it's unlikely to happen but at the same time it's not entirely impossible, Ruth is gaining in popularity and Alex still hasn't been bottom three yet so there is still some small hope LOL.
They are moving in together after the show, I was speaking to a friend of Alexandra's earlier, it's so sweet :D
Aw yeah I think I heard about that! Good to see they have a genuine friendship. ^_^

Well to me it is obvious why:

Alexandra: whilst being an excellent singer (albeit with a tendency to shout on the louder parts as Gary Barlow picked up on) and a decent mover does not possess a special voice that stands out from the crowd. Whilst Simon sees 10 Alexandra's in American Idol bootcamp per year, but more crucially is not as great as Leona Lewis was.

Ruth: Simple it is not in the script for Dannii Minogue to win. Simon Cowell has clearly made up his mind (via stories planted in Murdoch Inc. newspapers (The Sun, Daily Mail & News Of The World) probably via his PR man Max Clifford) that it is Dannii's last year as a judge. Of course he is denying it all, just as all those stories two years ago with Kate Thornton being replaced as the host were denied by Simon Cowell back then, and look what happened.

Simon Cowell clearly wants Diana to win this year's X-Factor. The big problem he has is there are a lot of people in the industry who are getting rather fed up with Simon Cowell ruining Xmas and the charts. Hence the rival Mirror group (Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Guardian & Daily Star) are doing their very best to hatchet & ridicule his favoured choice.

'X Factor' Britney song choices revealed

This week's X Factor will see the five remaining acts sing Britney Spears hits in honour of the US star's guest appearance on the show.

All the hopefuls will perform a Britney song along with an unknown 'American' track.

In her first live UK performance in five years, the pop princess will sing her comeback track 'Womanizer'. Miley Cyrus will also perform her single '7 Things'.

Eoghan Quigg, the last contestant in the boys category, will tackle the popstar's early hit 'Sometimes', while over-25s hopeful Ruth Lorenzo is working on her own interpretation of Britney's Joan Jett cover 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'.

In Cheryl Cole's girls section, Alexandra Burke will sing 'Toxic' backed by 14 scantily-clad dancers, with Diana Vickers performing 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman' from the album Britney.

The X Factor airs at 7.35pm and 10.15pm tomorrow on ITV1.

In case you are wondering JLS are doing 'Baby One More Time'

None of them are as good a vocalist as Leona, probably no-one ever will, this isnt the 'lets find another Leona' show. Alexandra has the potential to be a fantastic popstar because she is a much more well rounded package than Leona ever was.

Alexandra definetly has the best song choice this week!

The others are pretty laughable.

Oh I should also mention on This Morning TV critic Paul Ross was on. He went (as usual) to the Thursday first rehearsal where he saw what songs the remaining acts are initially planning to sing (subject to last day changes).

Three weeks ago he outrageously (at the time) predicted that Laura would be in trouble because of her song choice which turned out to be correct. He has also got the following two weeks correct, and indeed last week he predicted that JLS would end up in the bottom two along with Rachel. So he is on a bit of a roll.

This week he predicts that from what he saw that Diana will be the one who is voted out as he felt the two songs she rehearsed were too samey. (The early rumours were she was going to sing her Mariah Carey choice from three weeks ago when she was not able to perform 'Always Be My Baby'.)

I'm a bit gutted that Ruth is doing one of the most ear-bleeding songs I've ever heard! :(

I doubt Diana will go, as we have seen from previous weeks no matter how badly she does she'll be safe because she has a strong fanbase. Same can be said for Eoghan too.

Alex will be fine this week as her song choices are amazing and if done right she'll be the best this week I woulda thought. It'll be either JLS or Ruth to go this week I think.

I'm surprised Alexandra is doing 'Toxic' actually, that song requires a fairly high voice and Alex has more of a deep, occasionally shouty, voice that would be more suited for something like '(You Drive Me) Crazy' that she can belt out. I'll be interested in seeing how she copes.

As for Ruth, I thought that was the obvious choice, but I predicted that she'd sing 'Stronger' as I didn't really expect them to pick a cover and her lowest peaking song before 'Break The Ice' hit us - and that stayed in the top 40 for a decent amount of time.

I can imagine Diana doing that song, but I don't like it all that much, I would have preferred something like 'Everytime'. I think I got the other two songs right though.

Talk about taking the worst songs from Britney's discography.

Has anyone else noticed Eoghan's choice of songs have generally been well...samey every week? He ALWAYS sings these "cutsey" bordering on tacky choice of songs :/ :puke2:

I hope so, it can't be Breaking Free again, surely, so it could be a bad move if he sings a more unknown one and shows all the Mums who are voting for him that he isn't for them!

I hope he's wrong this week. But I hope Diana can pull those songs off. And I think if she is bad this week, then she will go. She was quite bad when she "returned" but she was saved because she was still not 100% and you could actually tell, (although the mp3 of 'Yellow' is actually amazing :kink:) Last week, she was back to getting 100% about 90% I would say. I hope she blows us away this week.
