In 77, Radio Luxembourg were doing well with 26 in the top 30. With ABBA ruling. STATUS QUO sold as well as a number one, but couldn`t get there. Re-makes via SHOWADDYWADDY singing CHUBBY CHECKER circa 62...SMOKIE covering the SEARCHERS circa 64...Re-issued ROXY MUSIC circa 72...DARTS with a medley..NAZARETH were singing an EVERLYS song...SANTANA sung ZOMBIES circa 64...RUBY WINTERS sung BILLY FURY circa 64...SLADE were doing an ELVIS/DAVE BERRY hit...TINA CHARLES medley also covered the SEARCHERS 1963 hit "Sweets For My Sweet". We all laughed at the BARRON KNIGHTS...when they poked fun (in best possible way) at LEO SAYER, BROTHERHOOD OF MAN, and THE FLOATERS. Have a listen below...

Don`t forget though Tom, they are in download alone...and all download alone tracks only cover today`s sales predictions.

That's true, but a lot of people have predicted top 5 and top 10 for them respectively. Brandon and the boys have a shot, but Aimee I think not :(

That's what I call another static single chart, with the exception of some notable climbers
yuck at Il Divo :puke: could be a double chart topper for Simon Cowell then...I live in hopes that T.I. and Rihanna can somehow stop Hero

Not really imo

URGH @ Il Divo unfortunately they'll sell over 100k this week. :( Hope Enya makes the top10!

I think the Killers will be top5 now they're top3 on iTunes.

Thanks Dave, do you have the pre-orders chart too?

The pre-order top 10 singles...just for you!

01 T.I./Rihanna

02 Killers

03 Take That

04 Britney

05 Katy Perry

06 Madonna

07 Will Young

08 Pussycat Dolls

09 Kings Of Leon

10 Chris Brown

Not much interesting going on in there. Will has really slowed down on the pre-orders..overtaken by Madonna. McFly creaping outside the ten, along with Same Difference, Oasis, the Verve...and surprisingly a Status Quo christmas related single "It`s Christmas Time". Have a listen...

Thankyou :)

Is the preorders chart based on the total number prior to release, or just the preorders placed in the last week? (The Will is slowing down comment suggested the latter but wasn't sure)

Thanks Dave :)

Guns N' Roses will be in the Top-40 by the weeks end, no doubt. The album is No. 1 on the iTunes rock album chart, despite still only being a pre-order, and the single is still steadily climbing as a download-only release. That's not even mentioning the fact that the single comes as a free download with every album pre-order.

If that's true then it will be NCQ and disqualified from the chart.

I'm not sure it counts towards the charts if it's free...

Argh! Jinx! :drama:

Seriously? Aw.:(

Oh well, it's still getting downloads from people who haven't pre-ordered the album and so I still think it'll get Top-40 even if you exclude the free downloads.

Big up for Bellamy Brothers at 29, I'm lovin that advert.

Always seems to be on a Sunday morning. I'd defy anyone not to download it, even if you don't like country, which I don't, really...

I don't either much, but i love the song. I'm surprised nowhere's started playing the dance version by Mike Melange though, especially with it's ubercute video:
