Posted November 13, 200816 yr Tis that time of year again. The hype machine kicks in and buzz builds. Last year we had Adele and Duffy as the Queen's of hype but who do ye think will make it huge in 2009? Can we avoid obvious American acts like Lady GaGa et al who with major success elsewhere and lots of money behind her makes it a given she'll be huge so there's little point repeating her name over and over. NEW acts and preferably British. Always the Brits who top the buzz lists/have the most success after all o:
November 13, 200816 yr Frankmusik Little Boots FLorence & The Machine will all be massive next year ;-)
November 13, 200816 yr I'm not aware of any new British solo artists being hyped up at the moment. I can't imagine being so out of the know ;-) Edited November 13, 200816 yr by titty
November 13, 200816 yr VV Brown hopefully, she's immense. Yeah it would be great to see VV Brown doing well.
November 13, 200816 yr Oh Britney's gonna be massive ya know. She'll be HUGE with her next single as it's the most amazing thing EVER - NUMBER ONE FOR A GAZILLION WEEKS YAY. But in seriousnuss I have not looked at many new acts yet but I definately think and hope Frankmusik will do well.
November 13, 200816 yr I've not heard a huge amount but from what I have I really like Little Boots. It'd be cool if she got big.
November 13, 200816 yr Frankmusik Little Boots FLorence & The Machine will all be massive next year ;-) Ditto'd. And also I think The Operators and Dinosaur Pile-Up will be quite big next yar also.
November 13, 200816 yr I think Guns N' Roses...call me biased, but I've heard some of the material from the new album, and there's a couple of ballads on there that could EASILY fit into the current Top-10. I'm gonna make a bold prediction now and single out 'Street Of Dreams' - kind of a shorter, more radio-friendly version of 'November Rain'. VV Brown will hopefully do well also. Not usually a fan of that type of music, but she's a great performer and undoubtedly talented. Edited November 13, 200816 yr by ags_rule
