On Monday Leona Lewis will release the deluxe edition of Spirit which contains a studio version of her cover of Snow Patrol's "Run", which she famously covered on Radio 1's Live Lounge.

 

It will be available as a stand alone download and rumours are it might be sent to radio as a single in the run up to Christmas. Where do you think it will chart?

T10 at best, given that her current single only made #5.

 

No doubt Snow Patrol's original will gain significant benefit, though.

id like another #1 but i doubt it will get there.. the x factor preformance should ensure top 5 tho..

I know what you mean TT, but I actually think it's quite beautifully sung. On it's own, top 5. With a bunch of promotion and airplay, top 3, or maybe even number one. But I don't really think that'll happen.

Saturday's appearance on X factor may well push Forgive Me back up the charts and if she's doing this song too (but I thought she was saving this for DivasII on 23rd) then it could well overtake FM and maybe even get to number1.......... afterall there are 10million+ people watching Xfactor. This is the kind of song/material the majority of Leona fans want from her (IMO), its the perfect showcase for her amazing vocal agility, power and accuracy.

Thats a good point. And of course some will buy the deluxe album so standalone downloads. I'll stick my neck out though and say it will reach number 1........ at least on iTunes anyway. If she doesn't perform it on X factor then I predict just about top10.

Not it wasn't included.

 

I think it all depends on how they decide to promote it - a killer performance on X-Factor would create momentum but she may only do Forgive Me tomorrow which would be a missed opportunity. The only other performance of it confirmed is Divas II which has already been recorded and is shown next weekend I think.

You can download it when it released on the 17th as part of the Deluxe Edition of Spirit. Can't wait to buy it :)

Love this version by Leona. Hope it gets to number 1 and with a killer performance on X Factor it has a good chance. Should definitely be a top 3 hit though.
