Please post your playlist of the tracks above and rationale for your decision and then we can make a decision! The deadline for this is actually THURSDAY 11PM as the playlist needs to be posted by Saturday. :funky:
November 19, 200816 yr OK! Being a DJ that is allowed to play quite loads of classic tunes inside the club where I'm a resident, I might offer a playlist that I consider would work properly. :arrr: Of course, I dunnot play such a lot of rock not even in a full week, imagine on only a weekend... But here's my music taste :yahoo: 01. Coldplay - Clocks 02. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony 03. U2 - With or Without You 04. Coldplay - Yellow 05. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 06. Oasis - Champagne Supernova 07. Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 08. Coldplay - Fix You 09. Blur - Beetlebum 10. Arcade Fire - Intervention 11. Coldplay - Violet Hill 12. Coldplay - The Scientist 6 songs from Coldplay and 6 different songs, are pretty hard to arrange B) I quite hate doubles in the same hour, but at least, if 6 songs belong to Coldplay, you can start with them and a good choon and finish with them (only at the finish at least use again 2 songs :yahoo: ) :P Hope my playlist would make a point on you  did loads of radio shows, and the beginning is very important  So, let's just keep a Coldplay song, and 2 different songs that are really major B) After, you can play whatever for the next 9 songs, because persons already know it's a good show :cheer: xox. November 19, 200816 yr 01 Coldplay - Yellow 02 Arcade Fire - Intervention 03 Blur - Beetlebum 04 Coldplay - The Scientist 05 Oasis - Champagne Supernova 06 Coldplay - Violet Hill 07 Coldplay - Clocks 08 U2 - With Or Without You 09 Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 10 The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony 11 Coldplay - Fix You 12 Coldplay - Viva La Vida Firstly you have to start of with a Coldplay track preferably an old one, than I played a fairly recent Indie track, with a 2 track Coldplay session in the middle combining a recent track and an old track followed by a couple of Indie tracks, to finish off with 2 Coldplay tracks one old been played second to last and finish off with a recent track.
November 19, 200816 yr Coldplay - Clocks Oasis - Champagne Supernova U2 - With or Without You Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm Coldplay - Violet Hill Blur - Beetlebum Coldplay - Viva La Vida Coldplay - The Scientist Arcade Fire - Intervention Coldplay - Yellow The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony Coldplay - Fix You I feel it is very important that when you make a playlist that you make an order which flows inbetween each song but as the main focus of this playlist is on the Coldplay songs I have put Coldplay songs at the start, near the middle and at the end.
November 19, 200816 yr 1. Coldplay - Violet Hill 2. Blur - Beetlebum 3. Coldplay - Yellow 4. U2 - With or Without You 5. Coldplay - The Scientist 6. Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 7. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 8. Arcade Fire - Intervention 9. Coldplay - Clocks 10. The Verve - Bittersweet Sympony 11. Oasis - Champage Supernova 12. Coldplay - Fix You I feel as the emphasis is on Coldplay, then Coldplay then both need to open AND close the playlist. Arctic Monkeys seems a bit out of place in the middle, so maybe it could swap places with Blur on my playlist? I'm not sure. I like the look of my playlist anyway. I think alternating between Coldplay and then a rock song is an absolute must however. Provides the audience with variery.
November 19, 200816 yr Viva La Vida (should open with a popular Coldplay track imo) Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm Yellow U2 - With or Without You The Scientist Clocks Arcade Fire - Intervention Blur - Beetlebum Violet Hill The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony Fix You Oasis - Champagne Supernova (it's a great closer)
November 19, 200816 yr There's surely no way 'Champagne Supernova' can be higher than 12?! It HAS to close! Yes 'Fix You' is arguably a good closer but purely for the length Oasis should finish. Probably better to go one Coldplay, one not. Viva La Vida Beetlebum Violet Hill With Or Without You Clocks Bittersweet Spymphony Yellow Intervention Fix You Brianstorm Scientist Champagne Supernova

Viva La Vida Beetlebum Violet Hill With Or Without You Clocks Bittersweet Spymphony Yellow Intervention Fix You Brianstorm Scientist Champagne Supernova I agree with your playlist, Mark. It really makes sense to have one Coldplay then one R&I song. I think opening with VLV is vital as it is now Coldplay's biggest (and most recent) hit. Champagne Supernove just has to be last - it has the feeling of an ending if you get what I mean!
November 20, 200816 yr There's surely no way 'Champagne Supernova' can be higher than 12?! It HAS to close! Yes 'Fix You' is arguably a good closer but purely for the length Oasis should finish. Probably better to go one Coldplay, one not. Viva La Vida Beetlebum Violet Hill With Or Without You Clocks Bittersweet Spymphony Yellow Intervention Fix You Brianstorm Scientist Champagne Supernova Yes, quite a good playlist also, and maybe it's better to not close with Coldplay, the band that has the show dedicated :D But beyond the idea of Viva La Vida as a fresh track and big hit, Beetlebum, Violet Hill and With Or Without You are really slow tracks :P Might make persons switch over the station to another one -_- You have to get a bit of intense rhythm inside  *gets back to old playlist and modifies it with the interesting sdiscussion facts* ^_^ 01. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 02. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony 03. U2 - With or Without You 04. Coldplay - Clocks 05. Coldplay - Yellow 06. Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 07. Coldplay - Fix You 08. Blur - Beetlebum 09. Arcade Fire - Intervention 10. Coldplay - Violet Hill 11. Coldplay - The Scientist 12. Oasis - Champagne Supernova And i close with Champagne Supernova considering that it might be better to finish with anohter track than Coldplay, and from all the tracks all I can consider for a closing track is Champagne Supernova or Intervention  Cheers! xox.
November 20, 200816 yr 01. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 02. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony 03. U2 - With or Without You 04. Coldplay - Clocks 05. Coldplay - Yellow 06. Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 07. Coldplay - Fix You 08. Blur - Beetlebum 09. Arcade Fire - Intervention 10. Coldplay - Violet Hill 11. Coldplay - The Scientist 12. Oasis - Champagne Supernova That's a better playlist, I would hate to have a Coldplay track after each Indie track, as the listener knows what's coming next, with Oasis to close.
November 20, 200816 yr 01 Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm 02 Arcade Fire - Intervention 03 Coldplay - Violet Hill 04 The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony 05 Coldplay - Viva La Vida 06 U2 - With or Without You 07 Oasis - Champagne Supernova 08 Blur - Beetlebum 09 Yellow 10 The Scientist 11 Fix You 12 Clocks last 4 Colplay's tracks i don't like. Talk should be there. Edited November 20, 200816 yr by Nick F1

November 22, 200816 yr Author I am going for RFC's playlist - the playlist benefits by having Coldplay's biggest (and most recent) hit first, then a mix of one R&I track and 1 Coldplay track each until the closer of Champagne Supernova.
