I just checked iTunes and Britney is up to number 2 that is pretty good going though I'm pretty pi**d that Leona is released early on there to gain bigger advanced sales before the rest get on release tomorrow. I think that releases should be on the Sunday instead of Monday especially that Sunday sales don't count towards the days chart or even just put them on iTunes cos sometimes new releases aren't to be found anywhere until Tuesday

 

But she hasn't got any competition for next week's number one spot has she - I've had a quick glance at the release schedule for this coming week and I can't see anything there that is of note anyway!

What an utterly bizarre rant. All major single releases go on iTunes on Sunday. Some even go on Friday or Saturday now to build up some momentum before the sales week starts. Don't you remember the fuss the other week when Britney, Beyonce and Christina all got added on Sunday and Sony were accused of blundering as they forgot to add Leona until the Monday? Take That got added Sunday last week.

What do you mean "Sunday sales don't count towards the day's chart"?! The cut-off for a week's chart is Saturday at midnight, Sunday is the start of the next chart week!
