Well, I've officially 90% given up with Hollyoaks now, Mitzeee is the ONLY THING keeping me watching this, I mean how AWFUL was this who killed Lyndsey dealt with? I hope and prey it's a red herring (I knew it would be

Dr Browning, but it all just seems a bit rushed, Why would Walker allow Dr Browning to kill Lyndsey..

It’s him. Browning killed Lynsey”

So, it was the doctor what did it.

Come on then, hands up, who saw that coming?

In tonight’s E4 First Look episode, Jacqui stumbled across the identity of Lynsey’s killer after she found her scarf in Dr. Browning’s desk drawer. To think he could be so cunning and yet so daft as to leave incriminating evidence like that lying around for anyone to find! Perhaps, like Silas before him, his ego got the better of him in the end…

Why did he do it? Presumably to protect Mercedes. Perhaps a more pertinent a question to ask is what happens now?

Will Mercedes may know about Browning, but he also knows all about her – including the fact that she stabbed herself to frame Mitzeee. Will she go to the police? We can’t wait…

F*CK OFF, WHAT A SHIT REASON TO KILL SOMEONE

HOLLYOAKS YOU DISAPPOINT ME.

It annoys me that George has such a good looking boyfriend. As if, he's an annoying little twerp.

The C4 ep yesterday wasn't as great as I'd expected... there are just too many holes to forgive in this Lynsey storyline. We saw how it played out on the day. There's literally no way Walker could've been at the flat, he left the club barely a minute before Brendan and yet in the flashbacks he had a lengthy chat with Lynsey and stuck around to watch her get killed! (And by the way how did she know he was an undercover? We didn't know until last week!) I knew it was Paul but I don't understand why he and Walker haven't interacted once since Lynsey was calling for Walker whilst she was being strangled - obviously Paul would've had a scout around the flat! Such a shame what started out as such a superb mystery descended into nonsense plotting.

That said I've really loved this Mercy/Paul story from the word go and I thought the moment where Mercy told him to drive and told him she loved him was absolutely epic. I had chills. It's just a shame those moments are fleeting and can't be sustained through a whole episode at the minute. That's not the last we've seen of him incidentally.

Another bad piece of storytelling is the Walker/Ally connection... the first time they spoke it was Ally who asked if he recognised Walker. Now we're supposed to buy Walker having arrested Ally (!). Even identity fraud couldn't make this utter zombie interesting. I can't stand to see him bringing Ash down.

I agree with everything you've just said, mainly the Mercedes & Paul storyline. I can't seem to think that they were suited together. I would have preferred Mercedes being the killer and her getting away with it.

Riley proposes to Mercedes on Friday

I need my daily Mitzeee. Also Emma (Producer of Hollyoaks has posted spoilers regarding everything that's going to happen.

ALSO, Emma Smithwick AXED AMY for more STE storylines. BITCH.

It's so annoying. Emma is an absolute twat. She hasn't actually told us anythign except it's going to be a big year for BRENDAN and STE. Like uh when is it not? It seriously feels like anyone who doesn't STAN them doesn't get a look in.

The whole Amy thing is RIDICULOUS too! She is one of the longest standing characters, and a big part of Hollyoaks history. To completely axe her is not only taking the last decent thing about Ste away, but it's erasing the whole part of his character that was believable, his relationship with Amy was the highlight of both characters.

It annoys me how they keep awful characters like Ally yet axe the fantastic characters!

It's also been comfirmed by Inside soap that

Carl Costello returns for a couple of eposides

I'm actually quite enjoying the Dodger/Texas stuff. She's so lovely and easy to like, especially compared with some of the teens... Sinead might be the most obnoxious character ever. I want her and Bart to elope together. Forever.

Myra's grand return was FABULOUS.

Something really weird happened tonight (C4). I found myself liking Theresa. I can't explain it but she had good chemistry with Brendan (!). I'm still trying to come to terms with this.

On another note what the hell is that creep Ally playing at, trying to tip Martha off the wagon? Have they got any idea what his motives are in anything he ever does?!

With Ally, he's obviously trying to fracture the Kane family, thus manipulating Ash into becoming solely dependent on him - much like what he was doing with Amy before she left. I have no idea WHY though, and I'm still confused why the decision was made to get rid of Amy when they were already midway through the plot. The recent interview Emma Smithwick gave implied Amy was axed, which makes little sense - the nonsense she gave about allowing Ste more room for storylines is flimsy at best, because there are perfectly good ways of achieving that without terminating somebody's employment after 7 years. Ste's storylines hadn't revolved around Amy for a long time.

I'm still NOT on board with Theresa and I don't think I ever will be. The unresolved Calvin issue remains a glaring inconsistency - in particular the likes of Jacqui actively campaigning for cousin Bart to be sent to prison over marijuana doesn't quite ring true when those same people have actively covered up for Theresa committing callous MURDER of a near-enough family member. Between her and I-wanna-be-a-gangsta Joel, they're far from being a love story you want to root for.

Riley's forgiven Mercedes and they're preparing to walk down the aisle again. but things don't go smoothy as Carl Turns up and then Mercy makes a terrifying discovery

Does anyone think Mercedes may be on her way out of Hollyoaks? I just think once everything is announced there's not a way back for her character!

I hope not. She's been THE essential character (along with Browning) this summer.

I do think she's fast becoming irredeemable. I can't think of how they're going to have Mitzeee vindicated without Mercedes being exposed. Browning wasn't on the scene really then so surely she wouldn't be able to pass the buck there.

To be fair to Jennifer Metcalfe, she's stuck Hollyoaks out for quite some time now, but she's still young enough to potentially want to try and break out.

She always comes across as really happy working with Hollyoaks in interviews and no plans to break out any time soon ... I hope she doesn't go, she's probably my favourite character left!
Michaela leaving with BIRD SHIT in her hair was a somewhat fitting ending for the character.
So are Texas and Dodger still doing the whole 'will they won't they' thing? I missed a few episodes, I thought they were off, but he's moved in with her after he stormed off from Dirk?

A bird shitting in Michaela's hair was genuinely the most baffling (and pleasing) thing I've seen in quite a while. Weirdly I actually got a bit emotional. I really am a sucker for any character exit involving hugs and tears.

Here's the trailer for Later. Looks quite epic. Starts a week on Monday.

Looks like

Cheryl

is leaving judging by the recent tweets!

@JesslaFox didn't get to say goodbye! Have fun & stay safe my little milk bottle! I'll miss u... (don't accept drinks from strangers!) xxxx

Joe Tracini ‏@joetracini

@bronaghwaugh miss you B xxx

She's the best actress on the show so I know she'll go on to bigger and better things but still that sucks. Hollyoaks is losing strong characters and actors much faster than it's introducing decent new ones.

That's not terribly surprising news, although sad. I think we are very much going to see a major cast turnover now (which makes it even more ridiculous that they've been going around axing established characters like Amy) - I really wouldn't be surprised to see Brendan and Mercedes go aswell because they're both being fast painted into a corner.

Like Jark says, the new characters that are being introduced are just not quite up to scratch; the vast majority are plain unlikeable (Joel, Jen), without personality (Liam), clearly not long for the world (Walker), or portrayed by a hopeless actor (Ally).

Also Ste and Doug become a more and more repulsive couple with every episode. I think we're supposed to find this fake wedding storyline amusing and comedic, but really all the characters are behaving quite despicably.

On the plus side (because I seem to moan more about the show than I praise it), I'm glad to see they're finally tackling the issue of Maddie and acknowledging that she is indeed a bully. And it's great to see the Osbornes finally returning to the forefront, especially given Jessica Fox and Ashley Taylor-Dawson are amongst the show's strongest performers.
