Just somewhere for random chart facts, if anyone feels inclined :)

 

Heres one

 

Between 1964 and 1974 , 49 singles by British acts got to the USA Billboard number one.

Between 1998 and 2008 only 4 British singles got there (3 of those in the last 2 years).

Wow in a decade only Elton John (1997/8), James Blunt (2006), Leona Lewis (2008) and Coldplay (2008) have made it to the top over there. :o

Unwritten wasn't number 1 on the Hot 100 chart. I think it was #1 on the adult contemporary chart for several months. It was played on those radio stations for an eternity.

Peaked at #5 which Pocketful Of Sunshine recently matched.

It looks like for an international act (not just british) is more and more difficult to crack the US market nowadays :(
