I've two songs lined up for the next contest and I've decided that if Elizabeth & The Catapult do well I might go for the more indie one but if they do badly I might go for the more poppy one.

 

and it's not the same type of pop Creamy was either :P

I can't wait for the next contest, I'm actually going to promote my entry and take this a lot more seriously than I previously have. It'll also be my favourite entry yet (even better than 'Embrace' or 'Pull Shapes'). Well, unless I win this time as I've always had a song I'd enter if ever I qualified automatically! Not that it'll happen! :P

Hmmm, this does beg the question - should ties in semi-finals be broken using the most votes or the most high votes rule? Logic dictates that the person who gets fewer votes but generally higher votes will do better in the final than the one that gets more but lower; so which is the more deserving? :unsure:

If two songs have 50 points and are for song 1 (12, 12, 10, 10, 6) and song 2 (6, 6, 5, 4, 4 ,4 ,3 ,3 ,3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1) there's only one that's going to impact on the final!

Yes, but logic surely dictates that it will lose most of those low votes in the final when SF2 and autoqualifiers are incorporated, no? :P

I'd go for the one with most 12's, 10's etc...because it shows that it was someone's favourite song rather than 9th/10th best

 

loads of people have said that they only like 6 or 7 songs in their semi and find 3 others to fill in the void at the bottom
