Yeh coz all their other tops tens were on the xfactor

think you're getting mixed up with another group

Oh and its already charted at #38 before its official release

Turns out that ‘Loose Control’ is their fastest selling album to date, which is bound to have an affect on ‘The Loving Kind’ downloads.

It looked like Kylie was going nowhere with ‘Wow’ this time last year but still managed to peak at #5 on iTunes and the chart. So there’s still hope that it’ll climb significantly once the Christmas songs stop clogging the airwaves and monopolising sales.

Having said that I think it’ll be a close call for the top10, I’d say it’ll peak between 9-12.

It would be amazing to see 2 #1's in a row for GA.

Plus it would prove the anti-GA's that they don't need X Factor to get a #1!

Well, explain why Cheryl's popularity isn't enough for TLK to be a huge hit this time around then ?

Funny it did wonders for "The Promise" but nothing for "The Loving Kind" (since it looks likely to miss the top10)...

And Call The Shots sold 250k one year ago, Something Kinda Oooh 200k two years ago. So it's not like it is the only time they have a big hit since "SOTU".

Thanks for making my points for me again :D X-factor is finished now so of course TLK won't be as big as the promise, they don't have the weekly exposure and performance platform to bolster them up. Also, i think TLK will be a big hit as you'd see if you'd read back to my original predicition. I think its a bit early to say "likely to miss top10" - no way surely!

I am not saying the only reason they've sold any records is XF- but they consistently sell less than they are right now so logically XF is the thing which has given them the boost (directly and indirectly) as we have witnessed this time and again for acts on the show for just a week, never mind every week as the media's new favourite judge. OOC is typically good for them but its not their best work and the sound hasn't changed so its not quality or a new direction, not leaving many other options to explain such a sudden spike- think of Occam's razor Bertie!

Whatever the reason, it is a good thing but may not last. Its shifted some serious albums this Xmas and given them their biggest selling (proper) single by miles :)

I think the main problem with this at the moment is that 'The Promise' is overshadowing it a bit, almost in the same way 'About You Now' did for 'Change'.

I really can't see this missing the top 10 though, I think they'll be fine when the time comes. Though if it did I would scream, it's their best single in years. :(

I hope it misses the top 10 at like number 11 so i can get a good laugh!

Thats quite sad that you are looking forward to a laugh thats that far away in time.

Reading back to the pearson who said look at Wow , Wow wasnt realised on official download until February 8 weeks after she had performed on "The X Factor" , TLK Is realised 5 weeks after the Girls Aloud Party.

It will defintly go Top 5 , Number 4.

the more time goes on, the more im fearing a #12

Me too for a number of reasons -

*OOC has sold half a million copies so far meaning less people will buy the single

*Radio are still playing 'The Promise' to death

*The girls are still promoting 'The Promise' at PAs/TV Shows etc,

*TLK has already gone Top 40 meaning lots of 'early' sales have happened

IF it does make the top ten i think it may very well be a #9, but otherwise i really think top 15/top20

'Issues' will outshine it i think.

As much as I like 'Issues' - God, I hope not.

'Issues' pales in comparison to 'The Loving Kind'.

This doesnt have a chance of missing top 10. Fan sales will ensure it goes top 10, even if downloads are low.

And the only reason issues is doing well is because they have sold hardly any albums in comparison.

thank you...god

girls aloud have literally sold 8 times as many albums as the Saturdays...that said, i do hope the latter will catch some sales and get to platinum after 2 more singles
