May 26, 200916 yr Like? You must have some examples if it's so generic? It's not even dance, it's dance-pop, which has been rather thin on the ground lately. There's a proper structure; verses, chorus, middle 8 etc, and Agnes wrote it. It's not 'just' a dance song.
May 26, 200916 yr Just listen to MOST commercial dance music that isn't chavvy... that beat is ALWAYS used. I'm not gonna trapse through youtube getting titles of a genre I hate anyway... Yes it has a nice vocal but that's about it, the rest sounds like same ol same ol to me.

But aren't you a massive RnB fan and that is probably the most generic genre out there at the moment.
May 26, 200916 yr Ah well. Your loss is our gain. :) LOL yes... if that made any sense in this situation. I see your point. But aren't you a massive RnB fan and that is probably the most generic genre out there at the moment. ATM, I'm only really liking Ciara and a very few other R&B acts... I'm very much Pop at the moment. Just not Agnes... which is quite obviously a crime on BuzzJack :(
May 26, 200916 yr ATM, I'm only really liking Ciara and a very few other R&B acts... I'm very much Pop at the moment. Just not Agnes... which is quite obviously a crime on BuzzJack :( Lol not at all. Just like you can't understand the love, I can't understand the dislike because I think it's pop gold. :P
May 26, 200916 yr Ok. Well things like this don't make me warm to them: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a156888/...st-singles.html What's wrong with that? They were just giving their honest opinions and weren't harsly critical or offensive... except with Shontelle but I say that's thoroughly deserved.
May 26, 200916 yr There's a fine line between being opinionated and being rude. What they said about Shontelle is out of order. You dont diss your fellow artists by saying they're $h!te or $h!ttier than somebody else, that's just disrespectful. Unless there's some sort of beef going on between them that I dont know of, that's not how they should've expressed their opinions on Shontelle.
May 26, 200916 yr Freedom of speech?! They weren't personal about Shontelle AT ALL, they just said she needs to improve vocally and the song is generic. All of which are valid points.
May 26, 200916 yr "$h!ttier version than Rihanna" is incredibly rude. They are artists themselves, i'm sure they wouldnt want someone to say they were a "$h!ttier" version than someone else.
May 26, 200916 yr Author Cant believe i started this topic the 5th of december and its finally become a hit over here
May 26, 200916 yr I love this song, only heard it for the first time yesterday but her voice is amazing. It's already been said the song isn't a groundbreakingly new style but it's enjoyable to listen to and isn't that really what pop music's about? Also don't really think the Veronica's were that harsh to Shontelle, they were just saying that in their opinion she needs to do something to make her music stand out, possibly wasn't phrased very nicely but the message is quite a constructive criticism. May 26, 200916 yr A few days ago, infact Friday, was when I realised this would be a hit. As soon as you hear someone singing it at college (which I did) and playing it on their phone, is the moment when you realise that it must be a hit, and, once again, point proven. Great for Agnes, great song!
May 26, 200916 yr Wow, are people actually making an issue out of The Veronicas being critical of Shontelle? Rather petty tbh, since firstly they are allowed their own opinions, and secodnly are we just forgetting how a lot of other artists in the past have slagged off other artists. An example would be La Roux's singer who has bascially just slagged off every artists that isnt her.
May 26, 200916 yr But then I don't think anybody would bother trying to deny that La Roux is a septic cunt, so...
May 26, 200916 yr La Roux is a bitch anyway, so i'm not surprised. Anyway, official news: hi this is Agnes' UK record label firstly many thanks for the incredible comments and support for her as we can see the release has started really well and rest assured we are doing everything necessary to maintain this, including a run of physical copies you will be please to hear!!!! thanks again for ya supprt, she is such a nice young lady, she deserves all the success she gets 3 beat
