Given Eoghan is clearly pitching himself at the teen girl audience (High School Musical a week ago, Busted last week) if he is allowed to duet with anyone he wants he is bound to choose Westlife :rolleyes:

See where you are coming from for sure but what cost Rhydian last year was all the Kylie fans jamming the phone lines for Leon as opposed to anything Rhydian did wrong, Katherine Jenkins would overpower anyone, while no doubt at all Beyonce will overpower Alex voice wise I think Eoghan with his really weak voice and Beyonce with her power voice is the match made in hell, JLS and Beyonce could go quite well

I'm no fan of Rhydian but I'll admit that he did nothing wrong with his duet, I think Katherine could have made it work a bit better if she toned it down a bit. I can just see the same thing happening to Alex. I don't think Beyoncé seems the sort to do a duet on stage and not want to be the star, the duet needs to be about the contestants. A performance with Eoghan would be hideous, she'd make JLS into a backing group and she'd overpower Alex. Hopefully I'm wrong and the duet ends up being good.

I'm pretty sure Alex can shout-sing with the best of them. :heehee: I doubt Bey will overpower her... we'll see. :o

I can see the point, there are times Beyonce looks like I total diva and times when she seems the most down to earth person ever (I guess the Beyonce/Sasha thing is apt) so hopefully she'll show a little friendly nature and let Alex shine if they do duet.. Hopefully the fact Alex sings in a lower register will make for good harmonies!

 

I was under the impression it was what I think is the same as last year - that is, Xmas Song, Celebrity Duet (with three different acts) and favoruite song from the show so far?

 

I think the single performance is later in the results show, isnt it? And as the show is the same length as last week, there'd be time for nine performances (last week there were 8 but doubt there will be a VT for all three songs per act this week)

Yeah I couldn't see it being Pink. I mean she wouldn't work with ANY of the remaining acts I don't think ...

But it would make sense though. P!nk has been rumoured for ages. Also Take That have already been on... So who knows. :unsure: But I hope she doesn't :( because she will only get paired up with Eoghan, (Because of the pop/rock route they will no doubt be going with him -_-) and she deserves someone better!

 

JLS are deffo gonna be with Boyzone I think... unless they get Alexandra with Boyzone seeing as Leona was with TT ;)

It surely can't be Pink, please god dont put such a great artist with Eggnog. I also really dont want them to put Beyonce with Alexandra so hopefully they'll put JLS with her and Boyzone with Alex instead.

This is rubbish (Take That pulling out I mean). They were never scheduled to appear anyway - they've already been on only two weeks ago! They've had a promotional engagement planned in Rome for weeks now - I ask - where would you rather be - in the Eternal City or in London with some vaguely talented (and taht's debatable) kids? I know where I'd rather be.

Take That have reportedly pulled out of Saturday night's X Factor final.

 

The band are said to have changed their mind about appearing after finding out that Boyzone will also be performing on the show.

 

Saturday night's final is now in chaos as ITV chiefs try to find another act to take their place on the live show, reports The Sun.

 

A source told the paper: "Take That are huge fans of X Factor, especially Gary Barlow. He feels a real affinity with the show and loves encouraging new talent.

 

"When they heard Boyzone were on the bill they decided not to do it. It's really upset the schedule."

 

Two years ago Take That performed a song with Leona Lewis during the final and the band also appeared earlier this series for Take That week.

 

A spokesperson for Take That's record label said that the band had never confirmed to appear on The X Factor and that the band are actually good friends with Boyzone.

 

Acts being lined up to perform with the three finalists on Saturday include Beyonce, Seal and Duffy.
