Eoghan: OK, that was good enough performance which would have been enough to survive week 1 or something but c**p when you compare that this is the final. 5/10

 

JLS: Another dull lifeless performance from Aston and the backing singers. 5/10

 

Alexandra: Stunning performance, Alex surely must win now. Alex FTW! 10/10

Not since Pop Idol 2 have there been an underwhelming set of opening performances in a Final:

 

Eoghan - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - You know my thoughts on Eggnogs talent. And it was business as usual tonight. The kindest thing I can say is that it shows how bomb proof that well constructed pop epic by Roy Wood is that it survived intact. 5/10

 

JLS - Last Christmas - Just Leave Show got off to a very flat start, but picked up. But no way is that good enough for a national Talent competition. 6/10

 

Alexandra - Silent Night - A great controlled performance by the only talent left in the competition. Bar the unnecessary showboat warble at the end that was stunning. 9/10

Ronan just blew Eoghan off the stage...nice to see he had a shave for the occasion too!

01 (ii): Eoghan Quigg & Boyzone - Picture of You This is actually not too bad! He actually suits this song quite well. Much better than 1st performance! (Couldn't possibly get worse tbh!) I enjoyed that ^_^ 7/10

02 (ii): JLS & Westlife - Flying Without Wings My favourite and one of about 3 Westlife songs I actually like! And just like Eggnog a much improved performance than the first. 7/10
