August 1, 20168 yr Author BJSC 87: The Potentials Hendinia have all but certainly selected their artist for the forthcoming Buzzjack Song Contest but the choice between two songs has never been more difficult. Which is where you, the lovely viewing public come into play to potentially sway the minds of the Hendinian delegation. The choices are as follows: fS9f6_i6v3Q That Poppy - Money 8PJ51W45pmw That Poppy - Altar And now, it's time for you to cast your views.
August 1, 20168 yr Money >>> Altar That pop feel goodness of Money omg I do think its a lot better than Alter so I really do hope you send that. Money I could see doing a lot more better than Altar personally as it has more appeal than Alter has.
August 1, 20168 yr 'Money' is the better of the two easily IMO! I think they're both better than 'Lowlife' (sorry Freeze) but 'Altar' is a lil bit annoying whereas I actually quite like 'Money'. x

September 12, 20186 yr Author 8 months on: Hendinia return Fresh from their break following Sunmi's failure to qualify back in January this year, Hendinia mark their return back to the Buzzjack Song Contest for the 108th edition in Summericia. Jumping back into the mix, dutch dance DJ LVNDSCAPE will be hoping to lead Hendinia back into the final from the second semi final, with help from Norwegian songstress Alida who has previously finished 2nd when competing for Ramrynia. The track 'Riot (Lo Lo Loco)' sees the third most successful country in the history of BJSC delve back into the upbeat pop/dance realm that they have so often found success from, winning on three occasions. The country took a break after failing to submit votes for BJSC 101, following Korean singer Sunmi failing to make it through her semi final, leading to a disqualification from the next contest. Sunmi herself returns to the competition representing Daehun in this months competition. Speaking of Hendinia's comeback, head of delegation Rob David told: "We never had any intention of making a permanent departure from such an illustrious contest but given the relentless structure of a monthly contest, we took the option as a country to take a hiatus in order to recharge our batteries, also due to the dwindling interest in the contest that we were receiving from the members of public." "This is by no means marks a permanent return for Hendinia, we'll continue to take things on a month by month basis, with the hope of maintaining high quality whilst also making sure that returning is in the best interest for the country. We have high hopes that LVNDSCAPE's newest track can help us to return to success and he has our full backing." Listen to the track below: wq3KnPxtFWk
October 12, 20186 yr Author Hendinia aiming 'high' for BJSC 109 BJSC 109 got itself fully under way last night as the semi finals were dropped, revealing Slayyyter as Hendinia's entrant for the contest. Slayyyter's track "I'm High", produced by Ayesha Erotica, sees Hendinia delve into the field of PC Music-adjacent tracks. While the song doesn't come from the PC label, the associated sound and undoubtable Charli XCX comparisons would have you guessing this woman was more than just an independent artist. Serving high energy, Hendinia certainly aren't dropping the ball on the tempo front after LVNDSCAPE & Alida's collaboration on "Riot (La La Loco)" saw them return to the final last contest, finishing in 15th place with 223 points, a mere ten points away from crashing the top 10. It was a welcome return to hit territory for Hendinia who had returned to the contest after 6 contests away, following Sunmi's failure to qualify in the first contest of the year. Head of delegation Rob David told us: "We were super pleased with returning to the final last contest, while 15th doesn't look like an overwhelming success, there were only 20pts seperating us from top 5, it was super close and we were happy to be amongst the fight again. It's been a while!" "But now, we're looking ahead to the penultimate contest of the year and we have every faith in Slayyyter. Her music is extremely current, it's another track that feels undeniably pop and really helps to push what we love to the contest and that's fun. It's a little bit tongue in cheek, knowing wink wink nudge nudge but above all, we love the song and the country has fallen in love with it, so hopefully the other nations will fall for Slayyyter's charm just as we have!" November 21, 20186 yr Author Drumming up the support: Storme to represent Hendinia for BJSC110 Continuing their return to the contest, Hendinia have turned to duo Storme as their representatives for BJSC110 in Aeroche. The Swedish pop outfit will make their debut to the contest with the electro pop track "Be My Drummer". The track has been compared to the likes of Robyn in its euphoric rush of sad electric beats and continues Hendinia's bid to return to the top 10 of the contest, which they are yet to achieve in the two contests since returning. Since coming back to Buzzjack Song Contest for the 108th contest, they've seen above middling success after finishing in 15th place with LVNDSCAPE and Alida's 'Riot (Lo Lo Loco)' and narrowly missing out on a top 10 position last contest when Slayyyter's "I'm High" dropped in at 11th place on a tie break. Speaking of the track, singer Amanda told: “I wrote “Be My Drummer” about the search for that one person who can dance to your beat. Someone who matches your own energy and, wild passion for life. Can that special person you’ve met create his own waves, will he do the unexpected and lift you higher?” Listen to the track below: 2d2JxWeOJXA
January 25, 20205 yr Author BJSC 121 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 2GZBB_cSBA0 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• After a few years of wavering success, Hendinia have pledged to make 2020 a return to the "golden era". It marks ten years since Hendinia's first ever win, courtesy of Roll Deep & Jodie Connor's 'Good Times' and executives behind the countries' selection process have released a statement of intent to see the 3-time winners return to their previous form. They begin the new decade with British dance/electronic soloist Camden Cox, who returns to the contest herself, with the track 'Healing'. Having previously finished 2nd with the track 'Gold', representing Aeroche, she herself will be looking to go one better this time. The opening odds for the contest are looking promising and somewhat old-school as fellow former heavyweights FSR Rontvia look to be in contention for their first win since 2014. Hendinia sit at 3rd in the odds, just behind FARC. 2019 was far from Hendinia's most successful year in the contest, dipping in and out throughout the year, notching up just the one appearance in the top 10. I Am Boleyn, who finished 4th with 'Too Much', will be looking to make the final of 2019's TBO competition which is looking to finish in February itself. Will 2020 see Hendinia return to their previous gold years of success? The pledge has been made, only time will tell how this pans out. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
February 10, 20205 yr Author 2nd ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 2GZBB_cSBA0 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Hendinia and Camden Cox racked up their best performance in 9 years last night as they placed 2nd in BJSC 121. It was a great night for the BJSC veterans, who trailed only behind eventual winners Aeroche, whose entry 'Automatic Call' by NINA triumphed by 26pts over Hendinia's own entry, 'Healing'. Camden herself has already notched up a runner up hit, for Aeroche themselves, after her entry 'Gold' finished in this position in 2018. The second place finish is actually Hendinia's first time hitting the top two since May 2013 when Taped Rai's 'Shadow Of The Sun' racked up their only other silver medal position. In terms of the rest of the competition, Hendinia's 18pts were rewarded to Summericia for the first time. Their entry 'Tears Of Gold' by Faouzia ended up in 6th place, whilst our 15pts went to FSR Rontvia who finished in 3rd place with 'Run It' by Midnight Kids. Let the good fortunes continue! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
March 3, 20205 yr Author BJSC 122 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• RqU0NCl62Xo ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Third time's a charm? That'll be the sentiment of BJSC fans in Hendinia as Smith & Thell return to represent the nation for attempt #3 at BJSC 122. After narrow defeat to Aeroche at BJSC 121, where Camden Cox's Healing landed an impressive second place, folk pop duo Smith & Thell have made their return to represent Hendinia at the current contest, with their track 'Goliath'. It is the 5th BJSC entry for the pair, which started back in BJSC XLII where they placed a lowly 26th with 'Kill It With Love', which was shortly followed by a much better 8th place with 'Illusion'. It's not often artists return to Hendinia, but this is the first time an artist will represent them for a third time. Head of delegation Rob David explained, "We are massive fans of Smith & Thell and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have them represent our wonderful nation again - we truly believe Goliath is their best track to date and so long as they keep getting better and better, there's no reason we would ever say no to them. The track is our 3rd biggest seller of the year so far so we know that the Hendinian support for them and this track is bigger than ever!" 'Goliath' has already received early calls of support from representatives of FSR Rontvia and Danaevilla, with members of the Hendinia team claiming they would "love to try and have another top 10 hit". Camden Cox won't be an easy act to follow so stay tuned to see how we'll fare in BJSC 122! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
