You only need to get rid of 16 seconds.

It depends what version you have of the song :P

It was lively but completely unsuited to her. Il Etait Temps, however divine it was, suffered badly on the Eurovision stage.

I found it far less than divine, although their 2008 entry was indeed Divine :kink:  :heehee:

France should look back to the GREAT 2001 and 2002 entries for renewed success at ESC

I read on ESCToday by the way (but can't be bothered to drag the article over) that ALW would write a song each to fit all of the finalists personalities and voices so it won't be a 'one song fits all' type of thing that we had feared

this is of course no guarantee that it will be any good or have any chance in the contest

I reckon the song would've had a chance at a contest about 30 years ago...

Hmm ... they're kinda taking the p*** a bit with all this bunker shizzz. But I guess they've gotta keep folks' attention. Not boding well, but at least they acknowledged that Believe is a bloody great song

"Eurovision in Russia is like the Olympics" << EXACTLY!!!

Taking it very seriously this time? I'll give it to them that they're taking it a lot more seriously than usual...

Colin Barlow will only work if he's looking for something GA-esque.

Yeah, glad to see they have finally realised what rubbish we have been sending - looks like Wogan did us a huge favour by leaving!

Those twins are creepy always saying the same thing together

This is odd ... sometimes people have pretty good voices, but are OBVIOUSLY completely wrong for Eurovision. Whereas some of them just seem pretty good all rounders. Hopefully some potential.

I like the twins, that Corrs song No Frontiers is one of my favourite songs of all time
Not sure so far tbh. Seeing The Saturdays at the start makes me think we should have sent someone who was already well known so far like them.

They're only known in the UK though ... I still think we need to send someone known throughout Europe on our behalf, there's no point sending someone who's known here and in Ireland (e.g. Andy Abrahams/James Fox/Javine).

It all looks promising, but meeting the officials from each country isn't enough, because that's only about 30 votes, if they all DO vote for the UK - the winner of this show needs to GO to the countries and promote on their TV and do live performances in the countries to make the song known throughout Europe, and establish it, a la Ani Lorak / Dima Bilan.

How did The Emporers of Soul and Charlotte get throguh :o I'd have put through Katie and the second girl group.

Anita had pipes, but was maybe not right for Eurovision ... she could have gone the way of Charlotte Perelli, and come a respectable place, or flopped like Poland.

Mark is good, but could easily go down the road of James Fox, they should be careful.

Damien would be good if he was taken down the Brian Adams road, but needs to be careful not to become a Roger Cicero et al.

Jade has a great voice!

Charlotte and the twins are probably too weak to surivive or make an impact.

Not keen on Emperors of Soul, the falsetto is off-putting at the moment.

Emperors are Soul are just 5 Andy Abrahams though and The twins are just annoying and unlikeable. The two men are just samey and ok-ish, whilst the girl is ok aswell just seems to lack a personality. The new girl Jade seems our best bet at the moment i'd say, she looks a bit like Amerie aswell.

I am a little bit underwhelmed by them all to be honest ... no-one really shone to me. Maybe the song will save whoever it is - eitherway they'll have to work bloody hard.

Can't believe they were going to put Rita through!! Her version of Get Here just made me wish I was listening to Sarah Lark

Jade does seem as if she's our best hope at the moment...and let's be honest, we aren't looking as if we're on the verge of a Shady Lady, are we? :(

Hello predictable ballad! -_-
