'Getting Things Straight About Take That'

Is it gonna happen? Personally I think a one-off re-union gig or TV special or something is a possibility. But a permanent reunion? I very much doubt it?

Thoughts everyone?

A friend at work today had great delight in telling me about this

:arrr: :arrr: her comments were not very positive about Robbie, but then she is a big Oasis fan

I personally don't want it to happen, but think you could be right Jups, a one off show, or maybe

a special appearance at one of their stadium concerts next year.

I don't want it to happen either. Not permanently anyway. And I suspect a heck of a lot of TT fans wouldn't want Robbie back in the group

He obviously does miss the camaraderie though

I'm pleased that he is on friendly terms with TT, but why go back

He will get slated by the press for doing so, even for one off shows

Probably Croke Park as it would get that free concert that he owes us out of the way  ...clever boy our Robbie.... :P

I would not mind a one off for old times sake & have always said that but going back fulltime in the band again...sorry but it would be curtains for me........he is a star for me as a solo artist....maybe he is tired of doing it on his own after all these years.....

No tour by the looks of things & I guess you cannot blame him after seeing how bad he looked after the last one.... :(

Bring a dead mouse in to work tomorrow Spark & leave it on her chair.... :P ...that will shut her up pretty fast.... .....surely your moggy is good at catching mousies.... :P

Tell her Noel G is getting driving lessons from Robbie.......6 miles up on the clock ...he is as bad as Robbie is about his bloody image..... ;)

Ditto. For me Robbie is a solo act. End of. No harm to TT but their music just isn't for me. (I do like Rule the World though :P )

But I guess solo performers do have a lot more pressure. Nowhere to hide if you're on stage and feel like $h!t. Was it Noel Gallagher who said the other day that the solo stars all go nutty? Maybe he's got a point.

Exactly my thoughts. :o I even count Rule the World in previous sentence.

Well he says himself that he's got 'unfinished business of his own' so maybe he might do some kind of one off thing but it'd probably be best for them to come on at something that HE'S doing. That way it'd be perfect to getting attention for his big comeback that'll completely blow TT out of the water :D :P (Well I hope he can)

At least he's confirmed in his blog today that he has a new album almost complete and he'll be starting promotion for it in summer 2009.

Yay, great news! :w00t:

Hopefully it is untrue (I'm sure it is untrue anyway). No genuine Take That fan wants Rob back in Take That and no genuine Rob fan wants him to be back with them. For myself I don't even want them to do one song together. They're friends again and that is quite enough. No need for a reunion - however brief.

Everyone agrees!

Now all we need is for Robbie and TT to agree with us!

I'd probably agree too! Then maybe people will stop comparing them all the time, eh Norma ;) :P

COWELL URGES WILLIAMS NOT TO REJOIN TAKE THAT

Music mogul SIMON COWELL has advised ROBBIE WILLIAMS not to rejoin his former bandmates in TAKE THAT.

The pop star - who quit the group in 1995 - has been dogged by rumours about a possible collaboration with his former colleagues ever since the band reformed in 2006.

And speculation about a possible reunion has rocketed since it was revealed that Williams has been spending time with his former bandmates after healing their rift.

But Cowell is adamant that a reunion would be a risky move for Williams, who enjoyed a hugely successful solo career after leaving the Never Forget hitmakers.

Cowell tells British magazine Heat, "That’s a tricky one. I think I would keep it (Take That) as it is. He (Williams) could do a guest slot now and again. A duet?” And Cowell admits he would be delighted if Williams would agree to appear on his British TV talent show X Factor for the series finale on Saturday (13Dec08) night.

He adds, "I would have loved Robbie to have been there on Saturday night and it's never too late. He’s still one of the biggest stars in the world. He’s great. I love Robbie."

No way is it true anyway (I mean ... it won't happen) I just think Robbie is musing. At the end of the day Robbie must realise that to the fans he has as a solo artist - he'd look a bit of a tit now and a hypocrite after all he's said about Take That. Besides .... one of the highlights of his concerts so I believe is when he takes the p*** out of Take That. And it has to be asked ... would he miss the camaraderie and togetherness if Take That MkII had been a flop? I just think his TT p***-take in his act would have become even more acerbic and overjoyed him even more!

I think Robbie is living in a dream world .... ..all nostalgia after meeting his buddies in the summer........what part would he play in the band........sing every second song.....what type of songs & whose songs....I think he would last all of 5 mins mins before going off in a strop.... :P ...Gawd !!! Josie's job certainly aint' boring with Robbie around.... :P ..no wonder Tim Clarke came on BBc radio a while back to remind his fans that he was actually a singer when Robbie was about to take off in a spaceship with his new found buddies in ATS .....even though I love him ( & probably the reason why I do ) but the lad is totally daft.... :P

They could end up doing one show for a DVD but going back fulltime I could not see it working....

Post of the week!

The god honest truth is that Robbie's Ego is 10 x that of the other 4 combined. He'd be pushing them all out of the way to get to the front of the stage. They'd be at each other's throats before the second song. Daft idea. -_-

I think a one-off performance would be great, but i'm not sure about a reunion.

Take That are doing well on their own.
