December 12, 200816 yr  I quite like this! Should be #3 behind Leona and XF winner. I agree. I just want to know who these 500,000 people are who have pre-ordered the X-Factor's winners single without hearing it. Considering Woolworths has gone & Xavvi is in deep trouble that is a depressingly huge figure.

Considering Woolworths has gone & Xavvi is in deep trouble that is a depressingly huge figure. Its probably just Cowell hyping up the release - The download and CD single can be pre-ordered on most sites but half a million pre-orders already seems rather high! I guess all will be revealed and how shameful for Cowell if the release falls well short of the sales he has claimed
December 12, 200816 yr Remember it was claimed there were 1 million pre-orders for A Moment Like This yet it sold 570k in its first week and even now is only around 850k. And that's from Leonazilla, slayer of the charts. Edited December 12, 200816 yr by 6weeksatnumber7

Amazingly Play.com has a pre-order available of a special double disc version of the X Factor Winner's album, due in March! And get this, it's £6.99 until January, and after will be a higher price for a regular one disc version on pre-order!

He might as well go back to the rush the album out (Steve Brookstein/Shayne Ward) the week before Mothers Day model.
December 12, 200816 yr You never know, novelty records can be HUGE at this time of the year… 1993 Mr Blobby - Mr Blobby 3-1-2-1-1-3-9- 1998 Chef - Chocolate Salty Balls 2-1-3-4-9- 372,000 2000 Bob The Builder - Can We Fix It 360,000 2003 Darkness - Christmas Time :P 2-3-7- 222,000 I don’t believe this 500k pre-orders nonsense for one minute. Simon Cowell is trying to coax the brain dead sheep into buying the single to boost his bank balance in time for Christmas. Leon Jackson only shifted 275,000 copies last year with most of the sales concentrated in Scotland. I can’t see Eoghan doing that well given that Northern Ireland is much smaller and divided. The lowest first week sales since Steve Brookstein are on the cards…

There's every chance that this record could climb to number one after the X Factor single since it's for charity, though I think Wogan is more likely to do so...
December 12, 200816 yr Just watched the video on Chanel 4 - quite good. Just wondering if the two girls in wheelchairs were the ones from Two Up Two Down. I'm sure I saw Robbie Williams in there too - dressed as a workman. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a138070/...stmas-song.html Norma
December 12, 200816 yr Just watched the video too. Man, this song is TOO catchy lol. I won't be going to sleep tonight "Over and over and over again..." I think #3 too, although it could sneak past Leona. However, I hope it will be #3. :)

However, I hope it will be #3. :) I'd be happy with #3 but delighted with #2. Unfortunately ... Simon Cowell has taken all the surprise out of Christmas now! Did you see Geraldine's introduction to the video? 'I think Christmas is a great idea ... we should have it every year'. Norma
December 12, 200816 yr Lol, I love the video. Just caught it on youtube because I forgot about it's premiere on Channel 4!
December 13, 200816 yr I loved the Kay programme, and the premise of the song after the show was a good one but this is tedious $h!te in all honesty. Talk about stretching a joke too far.

I thought the Christmas song was the original idea and that the other one was a bit of a test? Anymore after this will be silly, unless he gets really close to beating the X Factor and tries again next year.
December 13, 200816 yr i think number 3 its not a great song its ok but its alot better than the last song and it does have a small christmas feel to it

Also Dizzee Rascal (another artist who has bashed X-Factor) is in the video. Geraldine (on Radio 5 Live this morning whom again championed little Eggnog to win X-Factor. (S)He also confirmed that Robbie sung on this track (I'm presuming it's the falsetto "Over Again" bit towards the end of the track)). The first time in 13 years that Robbie Williams has sung on a new studio track penned by Gary Barlow. Considering this brilliant, funny, uplifting parody of Xmas is for a superb British charity (the NSPCC) compared to all profits going to Simon Cowell's bank balance, I wish the public would wake up & buy this record instead of a massacre of a Leonard Cohen song.

December 13, 200816 yr The DVD CD for this will be available from 15th too. Do DVD's of singles count towards the chart position. Norma
December 13, 200816 yr Author The DVD CD for this will be available from 15th too. Do DVD's of singles count towards the chart position. Norma Wikipedia says yes. By the way, just watched the video - brilliant! So funny  If this isn't Christmas number 2 there's no justice in the world. Actually I just realised that the Geraldine/Pop Factor project is the first Peter Kay musical extravangza that I really like. And transvestites usually terrify me ;)
December 13, 200816 yr They do indeed and for those of you disappointed that Geraldine's Medley wasn't on The Winners Song CD it is included on this single :D
December 13, 200816 yr 'Over And Over And Over Again', I keep singing it, even though I keep trying to stop, I cant! I love it, and it might, I do doubt this, but it might just sneek #2 from Leona.
