Thanks for the charts dave.

Nice bit of retro there from 1992, that wasn't a bad chart. It might also be the last MRIB chart that was used by ITV's teletext service, which was called Oracle back in those days. Along with many ITV companies including TV-AM it closed on December 31, 1992 and was replaced a teletext service simply called "Teletext", which is still going. The new "Teletext" service began to use the Gallup chart from its first week. Oracle had used the Network Top 50 Singles and Albums (which could be found on page 549 on Channel 4 Oracle)

Does anyone remember Oracle? Its music section (pages 540 to 549) was called Beat Box. Its teen pages were called Buzz and featured such "delights" as a soap called Park Avenue and an insipid set of diaries called "Debbie's Diary" and "Josh's Diary" which were as bad as they sound...

Absolutely remember Oracle, Robbie. Wasn`t it much more superior, than ITV Teletext? When Teletext began, they did indeed start to use the then Gallup top 20s. All of a sudden, there was a bit of fury at Independant Radio. Towards Feb 1993, Teletext switched back to the MRIB Top 20s. Short lived though, as Independant Radio, stopped using the MRIB Charts, at the end of July 93.

I can't remember Teletext switching to the MRIB chart for a while, I just thought it went straight to the Gallup chart and stayed with it. Though it is coming up to 16 years ago now, so perhaps my memory isn't as good as it used to be

Anyone care to speculate as to why White Flag's selling again?

Diana Vickers sang it last week on the X Faxtor show.

Thanks for the charts dave.
